question..

whats the differnce in the Maxwell and Heisman?

"The goal is to be a champion," Saban said. "I didn’t say to win a championship. I just said be a champion. That’s our goal here. That’s what we want to do."- Nick Saban

Heisman is

for “most outstanding player” Maxwell is for “player of the year”

/distinction without a difference.

Just to repost it here

I looked at some of the numbers for the Doak, and came up with this:

Does anyone know

Is there any predictive value for the Heisman in the Maxwell?

McCoy...

Yup. Dave O’Brian award goes to Colt McCoy.

I would give a million dollars — if I had a million dollars — for you to ask Tebow, “Are you going to cry now, baby?”

Another million for him to say

Yeap, Gerhart

Beasty TD stat and consistency did I think. Talent though? Spiller or Ingram, definately.

WTF?

Gerhart gets the Doak…

by BamaGirlinVegas on Dec 10, 2009 6:17 PM CST reply actions

I live in ACC country

And have watched Spiller his whole career. He is amazing, and if he weren’t injured all year he would have won. I think he will be a major star in the NFL in my opinion. I think he’s the most explosive player in CFB.

He's good, but

Purely as a RB, no way. He did a lot of damage on special teams, but was 28th in the nation in rushing.

by Mac T on Dec 10, 2009 6:19 PM CST up reply actions

He's one of those fun-to-watch

“speed” backs. He doesn’t have the power to be an every-down back, but jeebus he is shifty.

It says something

To have a guy in so many different categories. I thought, personally, that Tiffin should have won the Groza, but Gerhart over Ingram and — presumably — Sugh over Cody I do understand. I think Ingram has a very good shot at the Maxwell, though.
