The Hold Steady
The full line of that song tells the whole story:
“Guys go for looks. Girls go for status.”

The quintessential Big Ten smoking room.
How can anyone hate the Hold Steady?
That’s just wrong. And they are the perfect compliment to the Truckers. They even toured together. Two best live bands on the planet right now.
And I like anyone who is listening to the Avetts.
Fake Pundit. Real Fan.

I hate his voice....
….honestly, I always think I’m going to like one of their songs when it starts out, but then he starts singing and….just ugh.
Roll Bama Roll - The Champagne of Bama Blogs.
I had a hard time getting past his voice...
…but eventually got used to it. That’s the best I can say about it. Fun live band, though I’ll disagree severely on one of the two best live bands on the planet.

You know, sometimes- when all is said and done on a random 10- the 11th- or 12th, 13th songs . . . . are better than some of the ones included in the first 10. When I do my random 10- it’s usually the first song I listen to while getting ready to go surfing. And then the last song (the 10th) is the one when I finally find the place where the breaks are going off.
The worst part about my random 10? They’re written down on a napkin. My ‘back’ button has been broken for Lord knows how long? And the read-out is quite poor. I need a new iPod, is what I need.
And I got this one just around New Year’s last year. (2 days before the Utah game!)
