Just what I expected

Obviously there were a lot of emotions for him last night (as there should be), but from all the interviews I’ve seen with him this year, his focus has strictly been on helping the team win games. I think he said before the SECCG he didn’t care if he ran for 0 yards or 300 yards, he wanted to help the team win, and that’s what was most important. With this kind of talk and Rolando’s gatorade incident, you really see Saban’s mindset infecting this team and I think it only spells good things for January 7th

Thank you.

Also, when breaking a streak of poor performances, it’s not “got untracked” but “got on track.” For guys who make a living talking, announcers have terrible vocabulary.

Announcers and ESPN columnists, obviously.

Like he said, bammer...

…this is how these guys make a living. It’s not like when you and I post things on a blog. Not that we should be careless with our words, but these people get paid to talk and/or write. Perhaps we shouldn’t expect perfection, but we should expect excellence.

To be fair...

Live announcers are at a distinct disadvantage. They do not have the luxury of using the “backspace” key as I have done 6 times in this post.
Writers, on the other hand, have no excuse and should agonize over their word;, assuring accuracy in thought as well as in print.

No, I'm not harsh.

A harsh man would have mentioned media personages by name, like Danielson and Lundquist. Ooops…
