Some fans of newly crowned Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram already are calling on Flint Mayor Dayne Walling to welcome the University of Alabama running back home with a parade.
Walling posted congratulations to Ingram on his Facebook page -- which soon drew requests for a parade to honor Ingram, a sophomore who will play in the national championship game next month.
The Flint Journal: Should Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram get a parade?
Go vote in that poll so we can get Ingram a parade in his hometown.

Yes--BUT AFTER the national championship game!!!
FOCUS—it’s not time yet to have the parades, drench the coach in gatorade, etc. We all still have a job to do and it is a big one!

Yeah
I agree. Great for Mark and all, but that area probably doesn’t need its tax dollars going towards celebrating some football player. Of course, I’m guessing that area (like most) is wasting its tax dollars on all sorts of crap it doesn’t need, so why not?

What you're seeing is team spirit. It's like the Holy Spirit, but more powerful.
