Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Adrian Hubbard

I don't know if any of you guys have seen this guys footage, but he is going to be a monster.  He is my favorite player in this class. I think he will make it five straight years that Alabama has had a freshman all american at the linebacker position (Hall, McClain, Hightower, Johnson, and Hubbard).  HIs size and athletic ability are unmatched in college football.  I don't think that he will be starting on defense, but I believe his  athleticism will be too much to keep him off the field in nickel and 3rd&long situations.  I am going ahead and projecting the 2013 nfl draft and Hubbard will be a top 5 pick.  Kid is going be great.  I don't think he will put up DT numbers, but who could.  Great week for Alabama fans.

question

how could he be a freshman all-american if you say he doesn’t start on defense?… lol no playing time = no freshman honors…

so easy... even an Auburn fan can do it!

Can you read? I said he would come in on nickel and third and long situations. Have you ever heard of a situational pass rusher?

I partially disagree.

We may be better off if he red-shirts and fills out his frame. He could still be a Freshman All-American in his second year at the Capstone.

Right you are. Just like Barett Jones.

He'll be real good.

I think he’ll need a season or two to develop. I think Alfy Hill would be more likely to make an immediate impact.

Hubbard will most definetly be a force especially in backside pursuit.

He runs a 4.44 -40yd. His only weakness is his size. Hubbard is 6’7’’ and only 225 lbs. Thats a little thin at his height. He will redshirt gain weight and learn the position of hybrid jack linebacker/DE.

I personaly think Alfy Hill may be more college ready at this point.

Your temper brings dishonor to my happy mooshu palace.
