A school-record six members of the top-ranked Alabama football team have been named first-team All-Americans by The Associated Press:
>> Senior cornerback Javier Arenas.
>> Senior nose guard Terrence Cody.
>> Senior left guard Mike Johnson.
>> Sophomore running back Mark Ingram.
>> Junior middle linebacker Rolando McClain.
>> Senior place-kicker Leigh Tiffin.Alabama sophomore safety Mark Barron was a third-team All-American selection.
Alabama previously never had more than four first-team All-Americans in a single season.

Sweet.
You knowsome folks may say “crootin” dont matter….
Those folks need to learn that Crow tastes a little worse with tobasco on it.
And some said Shula couldn't recruit...
4 of the 6 committed to Shula, although McClain did eventually sign with Saban.
On the other hand, this may say more about the importance of good coaching and player development.
After next season...
…we will no longer be able to do an intro vid like we did this season, unless they come up with a jersey number with 3 digits. ;)
Auburn and Tennessee fans are a lot like Slinkys...neither are worth much but you do get a sense of satisfaction from pushing them down a flight of stairs
Most ever...
Previous record was by Oklahoma with 5 (1983 I think…and 2003).

Other than Right Guard and Right Tackle, we’re returning seasoned offensive players, and that’s assuming Barrett Jones will slide to left guard.
Defensively, we have a few more questions, but given the amount of talent on hand, the open positions should really cause a dogfight for playing time. I expect to see some real growth for many of our defensive players. We have raised the bar and we have open positions. Should make for some great football.
Also, our offense has the potential to be really dynamic next year if someone like Tyler Love or DJ Fluker can step in and really play like a five star recruit.
Any guesses as to which, if any, of our players will earn All-American honors next year?
MATRIX: Bennett, I thought you were--
BENNETT: Dead? You thought wrong. Ever since you had me thrown out of the unit, I've been waiting to pay you back. Do you know what today is, Matrix? Payday.
Prolly only...
…GMac, Ingy, T3, Julio, Carpenter, Vlachos, Dareus, Chapman, Hightower, Kareem, and Barron…but there may be others….

S: Jerrell Harris (transfer???)
What makes you say that? Has he given an indication that he might leave, or is that just a feeling?
I put the question marks behind it because
I’ve read a couple things about that on the internet. I don’t know if it’s true, but since I’ve read it, I didn’t want to get my hopes up about him playing next year and then see him leave the team.
Of course, it could have been written by an Auburn fan, so it might be completely false.
