Serious Rose Bowl Parking Question
Ok, I know there is a post about going to the game etc. so maybe this is not the place. But I'm looking for some help. I know some folks who frequent this web site have been to the Rose Bowl so any insights you have would be helpful.
Yesterday I got my tickets and they came with some info about parking etc. Apparently parking for the Rose Bowl is limited. At least they made it seem like you could be in trouble on parking. From their info they basiclaly had three parking options. The first was by the stadium in a golf course, which was first come and opens at 8am. I'm not likely to get there early enough for that. The second option was a parking garage type situation called Parsons with a free shuttle. I think you can reserve a space here, but a parking garage just seems hard to get out of once the game is over etc. A third option they gave was to ride a rail line. Never having been in LA the rail line thing seems like a good choice, but I don't know how it works etc.
My prefered plan would be to park in someone's yard for about $25, but I don't know if that kind of thing is even available.
Anyway, any parking experience any of you have would be helpful to me and probably several others.

I would be interested
in what anyone has to say as well. And I don’t know why I didn’t think of this before, but my tickets are coming from a Rose Bowl employee so I will shoot him an email and ask about both ParPark and the rail system. I will also find out the possibility of yard parking in the area as well. I am sure that he will know. I will post what he says once he responds…

I'd take a taxi.
Sure, it’ll suck trying to get one after the game, but it won’t likely suck as bad as trying to drive out. I have great patience with that sort of thing though, so your mileage may vary.
Also, am I the only person in the world that didn’t get tickets? It’s starting to feel that way. Still have the days off of work, but I’m needing a ticket…
keep watching StubHub...
their prices are steadily coming down…

no tickets here either
and i really don’t expect for the prices to come down enough to get one later. BUT – i will still be there rolling with the Tide and partying in the parking lot!

I was wondering about this as well
I’d like to tailgate, but I didn’t know if that sort of thing can be done wherever we can park for this.
Parking is easy
As a two time Rose Bowl patron, I have yet to pay a cent for parking down there. There are neighborhoods surrounding the Rose Bowl where you can park for free that are no more than a quarter mile away from the grounds. Provided you get there early.

Thanks man
How early is early?
I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.
Well
The last two games, we got there 2.5 hours before and had no problems parking. if you’re planning on getting in earlier than that, there is no problem. The walk isn’t even all that bad
