Auburn
Hey Todd,
Why is it that every year Auburn promises the Sugan Bowl and delivers the Toilet Bowl?
Also, is there a certain amount of gullible rube-like dumbassery necessary to be an Auburn Fan? If so can it be measured?
Sound Tackeling
Todd, do you feel like the key for Alabama to win this game is sound tackling? I truly believe to beat Florida you must play sound, disciplined football on the defensive end.
The option plays are easy to play man to man and follow your guy, but you must make the tackle when your guy runs at you.
If we can tackle Florida at, or near, the line of scrimmage what are our shots of defending their passing attack?
Thanks Todd – Brandon from bamanation.net!
Sugar Bowl question
Is it fair for the Sugar Bowl to get stuck with another mid-major upstart? The ratings suffer, as does the Bowl’s revenue.
I know Utah, Boise, and maybe TCU have all earned respect, but that seems a little unfair to have the Sugar get stuck for the 3rd straight year (Hawaii, Utah, and ?)
Fumbles. It was always Fumbles
I don't think you have to worry about that...
… most projections I see have Cincy heading up in the Sugar Bowl.

With all of this Notre Dame stuff....
Thought Cincy might be open for a loss against Pitt.
Fumbles. It was always Fumbles
Still...
… even with them losing this weekend, they have still clinched the Big East and will get a BCS berth.

You're right...
… I was thinking Pitt had two conference losses, but one was non-conference.
I’ll tell you, if we have to lose to Florida, I’d love to get Pitt.

Florida discussion...
Winning the turnover battle:
In Tebow’s 3 years as a starter, UF is 2-4 when losing the turnover battle (yes, it’s only happened 6 times in 3 years). Here’s the list:
- ’07 v. AU – minus 1 in TO margin = Loss
- ’07 v. LSU – minus 1 = Loss
- ’07 v. UGA – minus 1 = Loss
- ’08 v. OM – minus 2 = Loss
- ’08 v. Vandy – minus 1 = Win (Interception thrown late in garbage time by backup QB to lose the TO battle in that game)
- ’09 v. Ark – minus 4 = Win (
ShouldCould have easily been a loss)
Also, Florida has only lost once when winning the TO battle, ’07 v. Michigan.
So all this to say that staying AHEAD (not just even) in the TO margin will greatly help our chances against this machine.

Noticed something on Saturday
Did anyone else notice that when we were having troubles with Auburn, the Sun was shining in the player’s eyes?
As soon as the 2nd quarter started, and the sun was at our back, we started ramping things back up.
Dear Todd...
1. Approximately how many times per day do you tell someone to go to hell (online and/or in person)?
2. Where would you rank the upcoming win over Florida in the pantheon of Bama’s greatest all-time victories?
3. If T*m T*bow (changed to protect the ‘innocent’) reached for your jeans, would you check him for a scalpel?
4. Who would win in a fight: Chuck Norris, or Hank Williams, Jr.?
5. Has your eye recovered from that time Brandon Spikes gave you ‘five’?
