Sounds like Reamer

is good to go—which could be huge.

I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.

No word on either

Johnson or Carpenter though. I sure hope they are both able to go on Saturday. We are going to need them both in order to be able to run the ball and for protection to throw it.

carpenter was hurt?

Yep...

… he was banged up against Auburn, and came up limping after one play. Earlier in the week he was rumored in several places to have been seen walking across campus with a boot on his lower right leg. Obviously that was never confirmed by Saban, but I don’t really have a reason to doubt it either.

I’m sure both him and Johnson will play, but I’m afraid neither will be 100%.

You know...

… I always read these things, but honestly I never place a whole lot in them. They seem legitimate enough, mind you, but credibility is always an issue for me.

wouldn't be surprised to see Roy

featured more often than he was all year though. it seems like VT and the 4th quarter of the iron bowl were the only times we used him as an essential eliment of the O. I think he really adds an extra eliment of uncertainty and weaponry to our O when he’s out there.

Me either...

… like I said, nothing that they are reporting (or have previously reported, really) seems like it couldn’t be feasible.

And I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised with Upchurch getting a much bigger role this week. You have to figure that Ingram is going to get a reduced role this week, and Upchurch is finally healthy. Good things always seem to happen when he gets the ball in his hands, so why not?

I agree...

I think that Upchurch, Richardson and Ingram all three playing together in one game could be the package we have been looking for. Now instead of worrying about 2 guys, they have to worry about a 3rd one.

and if GMac

can connect up with Julio, Maze, Hanks and Peak, we could have a nice day. It always looks good on paper though….

i only posted it for that final quote

about the team being focused. Being loose and ready to play is one thing, but i like the fact that they are zeroed in.

"The goal is to be a champion," Saban said. "I didn’t say to win a championship. I just said be a champion. That’s our goal here. That’s what we want to do."- Nick Saban

I'm glad to hear practice is closed to the media for the rest of the week.....

Let the profanity fly. Remember Saban’s comment last year in the second half of Iron Bowl. "Do you know how much I hate these #!# tigers. ( switch to gators )

Steel piercing laser focus, that’s what we need. Enter the Georgia Dome and hollar like Schwarzenegger in “Predator” before the big battle.

Good

to hear Upchurch might get an increased role. I hate reading into things too much but it makes some sense. Roy is the freshest back we have in the rotation and the Florida defense is certainly physical. Obviously Ingram is our best option but you just can’t state enough how valuable having fresher guys behind the #1 is not just throught the season but certainly in a game like this. It just wears a defense out that much more having to deal with guys who share the load.
