A moment we should never forget....
As a student, this is a moment I'll never forget. The tears a falling, the joy is overwhelming. I've followed Alabama football my entire life, and when the opprotunity presented itself I became a student here. I have stood by my team through the thick and the thin (and lord knows we have had some down moments in the past few years). I have, as I assume we all of us have, known that we would one day find ourselves back in a position to regain our rightful spot on top of the college football world. We have had a great deal of coaches attempt to follow in the large shadow that the Bear cast over our legendary program but only one has been enough for the fan base. Saban is a legend in his own right and he is now cemented his place in bama history. Sorry for rambling but the raw emotion coursing through my body right now is overwhelming. Roll Tide. Remember this..I feel like it is a great time to be a student here at 'Bama. The tears will continue to fall. We are Alabama. We are back on top. It's an honor to say this and have it truely mean again what it once represented: "This is Alabama football."

Amen
I am in almost the exact situation as you. I got in a car wreck on the way home(fender bender, no one was hurt) and I really could care less right now. I’m too overwhelmed with pure joy.

Well
Im here in Tallahassee and all my high school friends who are Gator fans/students are sending me texts congratulating me as a “true” Alabama fan and not just an FSU Gator-hater.
But I have to confess a bit of guilt towards this. I’ve never been a student at UA. I got accepted late but simply couldn’t afford to attend without putting myself in an unwise amount of debt. It kind of bothers me to cheer for Bama like I do while never being a student.
But I also know that ever since I knew how to cheer, I’ve cheered for the Tide. Im pretty young and I caught on to sports a tad later than the other boys… my first real Bama memory is talking smack to 9-year old UF-family classmates in 99, and I can’t remember anymore until watching Zow against Auburn in 01. This is so big. Ive never been a fan of a winning team since I’ve started following sports. I like the Browns. I like the Magic. I like the Astros… none of them have ever won a championship. My high school team was stunningly mediocre in every sport. My own athletic aspirations were totally so-so. I dont know man. This is so so big. I wish I could say I was Mark and Julio’s classmate, but this works. Now to that place Ive read about in all the books on my shelf: Pasadena.
he was injured. injured bad.
DUDE!
No way man. I am a student at LSU and i completely understand your plight. I got to go to LSU, essentially for free, there is no way you can pass that up, and I still cheer for Bama as if i’m freakin on the team. I love those guys and you shouldnt feel guilty at all! Roll Tide Roll!!!

don't worry about it...
because the fact that alabama fandom is a part of the state’s culture is just as valid as attending the school. for the sake of full disclosure – i went to alabama a year before dropping out but still have no qualms declaring myself a fan.
it’s one of the unique aspects of our tradition. think about how our rivals like to label us all rednecks. well, one reason for that is most schools’ fanbases are derived from alumni: i.e. college graduates. which puts them on a higher socio-economic level than the general populace of the state they hail from. can you say “elitism?”
we don’t do that at alabama. in fact, people that are from the state and haven’t attended the school often have more of a claim to fandom than the students. i am originally from louisiana so my allegiance came after i arrived in tuscaloosa. for many in alabama have been fans for generations. this egalitarian aspect to our fanbase is one of its most important aspects and we should cherish it.

As an Alabama graduate...
…all I can do is say, “What he said,” and, “Roll Tide!” There are no prerequisites for being an Alabama fan. I was an Alabama fan before I started school…no, not college, school, first freakin’ grade…We represent the best in college football, and we welcome all…RTR….

The Alabama Nation
really is for anyone who loves Alabama. We actually have an Alabama alumni club somewhere up in Pennsylvania and none of the folks ever went to Alabama. In fact some of them haven’t even been to the State of Alabama. But they are Alabama people.
In fact I was in Cambodia a few years ago actually teaching at Phenom Phen University and I ran into a Cambodian kid who was a big Alabama fan and he had never even been to America. But, he had an Alabama T-shirt and he watched games on the cable. And, he knew about Shaun Alexander.
I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.
That's awesome.
I just got back a couple of days ago from a trip to Mexico and this guy that was leading our tequila farm tour (Mexican, of course) was discussing the game with me. He knew an awful lot about Bama and the SEC, and even pointed out that the game would be played on turf and not the grass of BDS. We’re world-wide, baby!
mexicans love futbol americano in my experience
the highest attended nfl game was held in mexico city. i think they could support a franchise
