"The guy Alabama didn't want"
Am I the only one that was getting really pissed at Gary Danielson for repeatedly talking about how Alabama didn't want Greg McElroy? I understand where he's coming from in that if we had gotten Tebow then we wouldn't have had room for McElroy... supposedly. I don't know if that's really the case or if it was a mutual thing where he didn't want to be behind Tebow either. Regardless, I thought it was very disrespectful to keep characterizing the situation as Alabama "not wanting him". He may not have been a 5 star at the top of everyone's board, but he wasn't table scraps either.

Yes, it annoyed me too!
No one from Alabama would ever say that. It was such a stupid fake-drama thing to say.
That pissed me off...
we recruited, and kept recruiting him, with the full knowledge and disclosure that we were taking one QB; he or Tebow. To say he was “unwanted” is disingenuous at best.

I would have punched
ole Gary in the face last night if i had seen him…
He kept going on and on and on and on about Tebow all the way up until the end…i was waiting for him to start pumping Bama but it never came…i wish CBS would change commentators soon..

There was one point...
…where my brother and I felt like Verne was enjoying us handing out the beatdown. Danielson never made it there, though I did chuckle at his assessment of McElroy’s block.
If we didn't want him...
…we wouldn’t have offered him a scholly. CBS should hire commentators with working brains….

Gary is so far up Tebow's *
That he had to resort to talking about Tebow vis-a-vis McElroy. It was most obvious when he described McElroy’s run in the redzone as “Tebow-esque.” The guy simply could not go 2 minutes without praising Tebow. It was pathetic. Gary was at an all time low last night
