It's Official: Alabama vs Texas in Pasadena

..remember the Rose Bowl, we'll win then...

It may not be "The Rose Bowl," but considering the tradition of Alabama Football began in Rose Bowl Stadium, it's a fitting place to begin a new era of Crimson Tide football. Couple that with a shot at some long overdue revenging of the Longhorns, and this is looking more and more like the perfect season.

I know we'll represent...

I hope f’n LSU does the same. I am displaced in B10 country so if Miles pulls his stupid bullshit and blows the PSU game I’ll have to hear about how the SEC is overrated for the next year.

I'm thinking...

… that LSU kills Penn State.

And if they lose and any Big Ten team wants to talk smack, just remind them that the SEC has won more consensus national titles in the past three years than that conference has in the past 40 years.

and then remind them to watch penn st @ bama in week 2 next year.

should be yet another in a long line of bloodednings performed by Bama on yet another hapless victim.

Hey from Texas

just wanted to say hello and we’re lookin forward to the game with you guys. I am glad we are playing a team that I respect and seems to have a pretty stand-up fanbase. Hopefully it’ll be one for the ages.

Welcome

Hope for a good game with no injuries…except to UT’s psyche.

Auburn and Tennessee fans are a lot like Slinkys...neither are worth much but you do get a sense of satisfaction from pushing them down a flight of stairs

Welcome!

We’re pretty happy to be playing Texas too. Two great traditional powerhouses slugging it out for all the marbles…can’t get much better than that! I expect that this will be a hell of a game.

Hello RBR

Being a Longhorn fan that spent 4 years in Montgomery, I gained many, many, Bama friends and this is something I have been hoping for since the season started. I cant remember if I ever met a Bama fan while in Alabama that I didnt like. All were knowledgeable and well spoken about the game of football and had a respect for the game that is rarely seen in this day and age. I look forward to the game, hoping the Horns win of course, but win or lose, I think this game will be good for college football as a whole. Two of the most storied schools in CFB history, it doesnt get much better! Good luck to you all!

Hey this is not the Rose Bowl

it is the Super Rose Bowl!!

My dad, (now deceased) was at the last Rose Bowl Bama played in, Jan. 1, 1946- I have the ticket stub. I promised him before he passed that if we ever went back I’d go. I bought my tickets today.

And of all the teams to play- Texas. We owe these guys big time, just ask Joe Namath. I don’t hate Texas, but we owe them. And this really should be one of the greatest games ever.

I’m so glad TCU or Cincy did not get in, it would not be the same.

I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.
