Any word on Rolando

Hey just a quick post any word on if Rolando is comming back next year, they have him high on the list to be drafted but didnt know if he want to play next year with his buddy Hightower? I would hate to lose him and was hoping a NC may make him want to stay in T-town. Thanks for any news that you have on this even if they are rumors its nice just to hear something.

As much as I would

…love to see McClain come back. I think there is about a 0.000000001 % chance he comes back. I understand he has a great relationship with Donta, but after the NFL puts cap on rookie salaries in 2011…..there is no way he is going to pass up millions for another year in college.

Agreed

Wish him well in the NFL, he damn sure deserves everything he gets.

He's going to go get paid.

good for him, he earned it!

Yup

Hate to see him go, but can’t blame him for wanting to cash in while the getting is good. I just can’t see any way he stays for another year. I don’t know if I’ve ever witnessed a player develop and grow as much and as quickly as Ro has over the past 3 years. I’ll miss Orlando McCain.

He said earlier in the year

that he was coming back. Ill hold him to his word until i hear otherwise..

That's not...

…precisely what he said…but I’ll think about that the second week of January….

He

is ready for the NFL now, both phyically and mentally. If Alabama wins a 13th NC next month, what more can he realistically do? He is an All-American, a champion and the best player on the best defense in college football. He will continue to represent Alabama as a pro. And draft day April 2010 will be just another example for prospetive recruits that there is a direct path from Tuscaloosa to the NFL.

As much as I'd like to have him back...

He should go. It makes sense for him, and I would like to see what Hightower/Nico/Tana et al can do. Same with Cody- I’m assuming Kerry Murphy will get lots of PT in the middle next year. While I don’t expect him to be Cody, he’s supposedly pretty damn good.

Chappman is coming back in the middle and don't forget about J. Harris.

It will be interesting to see who fills Ro’s spot as the signal caller. Dont’a would probably be the choice there.

Team Captain

I’d love it if the already-legendary number 25 stayed—but he’s done it all. His team has honored him, he helped bring home the Championship, and it’s hard to think he shouldn’t leave with a clean slate and ready for the big time.

Never quit. It is the easiest cop-out in the world.

The man deserves his millions

and I wish him all the best. Between Dont’a, Tana Patrick, Jerrell Harris and others, I think we can continue to expect great things out of our linebacking corps. It just makes you wonder how dominant this year’s group could have been playing with Dont’a all season, but he’ll have his time to shine next year.

If our Freshman Lb trend continues

Nico, should have a great SO season.

And

hopefully that young man playing LB at Theodore HS commits to the Tide.

sorry...not that deep into recruiting.

Who are you speaking of?

The LB

is CJ Mosley ….an absolute beast, he looks and plays just like Ro did coming out of Decatur. I know Saban and his staff are doing everything they can to lock this kid up and keep him from going to Auburn. Currently he is a heavy Alabama lean and I would be absolutely shocked to see him go anywhere else.

The

“general consensus” (whatever that is) in this area feels he is a go for the Tide. Other than narrowing his schools, he has been pretty silent. Reminds me somewhat of how Julio was.

Get out of here Ro.

Go bathe in money, buy your momma and grammy a new house. They raise you right and you all deserve payday.

I dunno...

…as thrilling as it would be to see him back next year, I would cry like Tim Tebow if he got hurt….

There is not one good

reason for Ro to stay. He is not deserting his team, it is what top players do, his teammates will be behind him, and it is the smart thing to do. And, we will be very good at LB next year especially if Hightower is able to return to form.

I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.
