He is

current not ranked by Rivals but is considered a fast rising DE. Has Offers from FSU, USCe, Auburn, FSU and many others (12 total).

espn

has him as #8 DE and #79 player in the country with a grade of 81. Transferred schools and missed his junior season. Senior film is what’s gotten him these offers.

anyone else hear this rumor

about jerrell harris transferring? Someone sent me that this morning and I honestly hadn’t heard a thing about it, not even mere rumblings…hopefully it’s bogus

I haven't

Not sure why he would unless he is in the doghouse. He was up for some serious PT until he got suspended.

What worries me

http://blog.al.com/bamabeat/2009/12/georgia_prep_defensive_end_adr.html

He’s a Georgian and Kirby Smart is recruiting him. I don’t think Smart would try to steal him if he leaves, would he?

Doubt it

I know that Lance Thompson actively recruited the players when he went to Tennessee, but he was definitely the exception rather than the rule. Standard practice is to not recruit players for the school you go to when you leave. Kevin Steele made a point of mentioning that when he left and went to Clemson.

Also, I still do not think Kirby is leaving, unless it is for a head coaching job. No one can afford to pay more money if Alabama is so inclined.

Hubbard

This is a pretty big commitment, as Hubbard is nearly the only defensive linemen we were actively recruiting this year. Brandon Lewis should be in this class as well, but he was originally from the ’08 class.

He actually transferred to Norcross to be part of their high school basketball program. Norcross is a power house in Georgia, and annually places a player or two in a major division I program. Hubbard actually did not play football his junior year because he thought his future was going to be in basketball; he was a pretty good prospect who would have gotten a few offers.

Hubbard, as you may guess is a raw prospect to say the least, but huge potential. The most obvious comparison would be to another form SEC basketball player/SEC defensive end, in Greg Hardy. He is almost guaranteed a redshirt year based on lack of experience and strength, but this is really a big pickup. I thought a really good comparision was to William Gholston.

at 230lbs, he's gonna have to put on at least 30

before he sees the field, but I trust Cochran to handle that

He has the frame to do that without

a problem
