Around SBN: Nevin Shapiro Vows To Bring Down Miami

So maybe they do read their emails

Note from Athony Grant concerning the Purdue game and Heisman trophy presentation.

Dear Alabama Fan:

We have a great opportunity this weekend as our basketball team takes on the #5 Purdue Boilermakers Saturday, December 12th. Tip-off for this nationally televised game is 8pm on ESPN2. According to our ticket office, we have about 1,500 tickets left to sell. The ticket office has also informed me that the Purdue alumni have purchased 500 tickets to the game. We need everyone in the stands to cheer on the Tide.

Students are off on break, but I am encouraging all of those students that live close to come to the game. We will need to make Coleman an uncomfortable place to play Saturday.

I am also excited about the positive momentum our football team has created. We have another opportunity Saturday night with Mark Ingram and the Heisman trophy. I have instructed our marketing department to announce the results of the ballot and show Mark’s acceptance speech at half time should he win. It is a great time to be an Alabama fan.

See you Saturday night…bring a friend.

Roll Tide,
Anthony Grant

Great news I'll be there. I'm bringing my 6-year old for his first visit to the UA campus.

All we need is a big win to make his first memories a big one. Roll Tide Roll

Wow, I wish I could be
If he does not win, then we will definitely have more ammo for the NCG. IMO it's 50/50 him or McCoy. Geirhardt and Spiller are out b/c of the publicity around Bama and Texas. If I had to predict I would say that McCoy edges it out unfortunately...

Well...

…Spiller’s out, but Gerhardt has an excellent chance…better than McCoy and Suh, IMO…Tebow is done….

Umm...

…Apparently you aren’t keeping up with the race.

Ingram is the clear cut front-runner and Gerhart is just behind him.

Guess who’s currently projected at 3rd? McCoy? NO, Suh.

Check out more sites bro….

Would it be better for the guys to have that chip on their shoulders....

should Ingram not win?

Just thinking out-loud. Still want MI to get it.

That's awesome

We really do need to give Coach Grant and the basketball team some support. Our basketball fan base has been in a serious decline in recent years. I miss moments like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eY_QTGxFWQo

Rod Grizzard

he and that freshman point gaurd from Callaway HS in MS just absolutely had to leave early, for what I will never figure out. Where are they now? Man had that team stayed together, they were going places.

that's the best

college basketball game that I’ve ever been at…. and I was there when No. 2 KU beat No. 9 GaTech in OT at Allen Fieldhouse

I long for the day when a sold out crowd at Coleman Coliseum is as ecstatic as they were that day…

Terrence Cody didn't like what time the sun came up today. So he reached up, and smacked it down.

Haha...not me.

I’m in C&BA. Staff though, not faculty (at least not yet).
