Well…i am 27 years old, grew up in Mobile, AL but spent my late teens in Tennessee and Florida. I am married to the greatest gal in the SE and am father to the bestest daughter ever. I currently live in Atlanta, GA where i spend my time selling Auto, Home, and Commercial Insurance. I am also a Youth Pastor (go figure) of a church in Lawrenceville, GA.

I try to take life as a joke…after all if you don’t…you’ll never get out alive..

my turn...

i’m 24 and do automation systems for a living. I have to travel around the country with my job,but I have my Bama flags up at all times (even the offseason). I was born in Louisiana, but have nevere been an LSU fan. I call South Alabama home (Troy, Enterprise). I HATE Tennessee, despise Auburn and dislike LSU. I’ve been reading this blog daily for about 2 years now, but rarely ever comment for reasons unknown. Nice to formally “meet” you guys and gals even though I feel like I already know some of you. Whooga.

Born in Eden, NC. Enrolled member of the Waccamaw Siouan Tribe of Indians. Step dad managed state parks in Alabama, so I’ve lived all over the state and lived in VA, MS and MD for a while, as well. First person to graduate high school in my family. Went to undergrad at Alabama, grad school at Vandy and Alabama. Started law school at Alabama, before a hiatus to take a gig with a fair housing center. Finished law school up here, and practice in Iowa, SD, NE and tribal courts (mainly IA and tribal courts). I have an ex-wife and a wonderful kiddo in Montgomery; the latter attends St. James, the former is with a business entity taxation boutique firm there. My fiancee is in SD finishing law school, and she’s a trained archeologist to boot.

Former heavy metal musician, gothic night club owner, artist and interfaith community organizer for issues affecting the poor (primarily public transit and affordable housing). Loves include: dark beer, historical fiction, high fantasy, history in general (and Mongolia, Greece, Turkey and Enlightenment era stuff particularly), politics, Macs, law, philosophy, quirky object d’arts, Circus Peanuts candy, hot nerd girls (dislikes blondes as a general rule), Dr. Who and of coursecollege football

Hi!

Hi! I’m brandonh…I’m a Cancer! I currently take care of 6 stray cats and enjoy spending quality time with each and every one of them. I sing and choreograph routines to the classic stylings of Celine Dion during my down time. I have a semi-severe skin problem whereby my epidermis flakes off at an alarming rate (keeps my cats busy), but I keep it at bay with large amounts of cocoa-butter lotion.

I love cheering for the Tide all year round. I especially love it when Andre Smith scores the winning touchdown! I don’t go out without making sure that I have my magnetic Bama stickers on each door and my flags flying out of every window. That way, people will know I’m the #1 Tide fan (Saban confirmed this).

Anyway, if anyone wants to get together to watch some late night Lifetime movies (grr…the women always get treated horribly), then get in touch!

Here is an older pic:

grew up in Mobile, AL and do not currently have children. I got married in November ‘07 to an awesome lady who also has no children. We do, however, have two chihuahuas. One named Bogart (mine) and the other’s name is Junior. Yes, it was named by my NASCAR-loving father-in-law. I finished my undergrad at USA in May ’08 and my wife is set to graduate from there in December of this year. I am currently considering grad school, and am interested in the risk management field. I work for an independent insurance broker specializing in commercial insurance and professional liability.

The details of my life are quite inconsequential... very well, where do I begin?

My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we’d make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds- pretty standard really. At the age of twelve I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically…

Wait, that’s not me, that’s Dr. Evil. I’m actually 35, live in Tuscaloosa with an awesome wife and son. I have an administrative job and, you know, I’m pretty boring. I do love the Tide though.

I graduated from Bama...

in 01. From what I remember and have been told by many people, I really enjoyed my time in college. I was a high jumper on the UA track and field team my freshman year but didn’t rejoin the team after that year because I didn’t receive a scholarship of any kind. I graduated with a degree in communications specifically public relations. I’m now 31 years old.

I now live in the cultural mecca of McComb, Ms. I’ve lived here for 5 1/2 years. I’m engaged to a wonderful lady even though she is a Mississippi St. grad. We’re getting hitched this December. Neither of us have any kids. I’m a realtor, and I also own a country store/general store/ convenience store that is located about 15 miles outside of town. It’s like a mini walmart. I’ve seen a few Bama tags on cars driving around here but have yet to meet in person a single Bama fan in the area. McComb is only about an hour and a half from Baton Rouge so I’m surrounded by corndogs.

I have a chihuahua that was given to me by my brother. His name is Herman. He’s not your standard yappy chihuahua. He’s really laid back and friendly, doesn’t shake all the time and only barks when he is supposed to. I never thought that I would like a little dog, but he’s turned out to be one hell of a good dog.
I’ve been a Bama fan from the start. My Mom graduated from Bama in ‘69 and didn’t give us a choice as to who we could root for. I’m very grateful for that.

BR07's profile

I am 30 years old, married for nearly 2 years, one 11 month old purebreed black Shih Tzu named Buster, wonderful wife who went back to school to get her teaching degree. I graduated with my Masters from Faulkner University in Montgomery, currently debating on taking distance learning at either University of Maryland or Nova Southeastern in Florida to get my DBA. Work as a General Manager of Non-Medical Services at St. Vincent’s One Nineteen Health and Wellness in Birmingham, and really enjoy the community work we are involved with. Spent over 10 years with Marriott, just bought my first house in Helena last month (and love it).

I am a pretty laid back person. I have had the pleasure of meeting and hanging out with Bamavicki, Capstu, Comer, and Spockjenkins over the past year. Love to have a good time, and most of the time I am well behaved and stay out of trouble ;) Since I began working at the Wellness center, I have started to focus more on health and, lately, taken up running (that shit is tough). I love nothing more than having my buddies over to the house, breaking out some beer and Jack, and chill out playing Xbox or watching sports – or a good movie – and relaxing. I have 4 brothers and 1 sister, my mom, two brothers and sister live in Tampa Bay. All are HUUUUUGE Bama fans, so they are repping UA down in Gator country.

Been with RBR since waaaay back in 2006, and it is my Internet home. We give Todd shit, but he is a great guy and the Owners and Authors work Very, very hard running this site.

From the old school....

I’m 44 yrs old, with 3 kids ages 19, 18 and 15. My daughters are in college, one at UAB nursing school and the other at Wallace. My son is just a freshman in HS, and most everyone says looks just like me (bless his heart). I was raised in north Alabama and went to Brooks HS,home of Patrick Hape and Freddie Roach. Tried college at UNA, but partied to much at the ATO house and didn’t make the grades. So I went in the Navy and got to see alot of the world.
Got married, had kids, took the call to preach, but my wife of 16 years divorced me, (not because of anything I did), so I no longer pastor, I do what I can for the Kingdom. I work in sales now, in the welding supply business and have a very special woman in my life.
I enjoy sharing with all the guys and gals here at RBR and hope to meet some of you at the A day game. Shoot’em straight, RTR

In the hopes of keeping this thread going...

I’m a Midwest boy, born and raised. I grew up in SoDak, spent my undergrad years in Minnesota, and am currently living the medium life as a librarian in Kansas. My sole sojourn out of the Plains was the three years I spent at Bama, earning a couple of graduate degrees. There I fell in love with college athletics and the rest is, as they say, history. I’m hoping to, at some point, move back down south, but for now I’m okay with following SEC sports from afar.

Here I go

I am one of the old farts. Born in Birmingham at South Highland Infirmary (Didn’t have hospitals back then) in 1950. I’m 58, Graduated from Woodlawn High School. Bobby Bowden was one of our coaches my Freshman Year. Went to Samford (Howard College back then) and Bobby Bowden ws the Head Coach to play football and major in Music Education. (Wanted to be a Music Minister in the Baptist Church). Did good on the football team and transferred to Bama after my first semester (with Bear’s and Bobby’s blessings) to try out for the team. On the team spring and fall (actually played in homecoming game at Denny, Now Bryant-Denny). About to get full ride in spring when I met John Hannah at the line of scrimage and never played another down. He was one hellacious pulling guard when you are 5 ft 11 and 185 lbs and he has up a head of steam. Anyway, went on and graduated with degree in Mathematical Statistics (closest thing there was to Computer Science in that day). Working in Manufacturing and manufacturing Systems for defense and aerospace companies last 35 years or so. Ended up with a MS in Systems Engineering from FIT along the way. Lived in B’ham, Indy, Chicago, New Orleans, Ogden, Utah, Ft.Worth and now reside in Orlando. Been married a few times (Idon’t like it), got a great girl friend, but I’m afraid i’m about to give that up cause she wants to be married. Watch every Bama game I can on the tube and go to about one or 2 a year. was at the Sugar Bowl this year and hada great time. Love RBR and look at it couple times a day. When I retire next year, I’m thinking about buying a Motor Home and going on tour with the team. Why not – I’ve done everything else. Ya’ll take care now. P.S – My Handle comes from the FloraBama bar on the border of FL and Bama) – Need to go there You’ll have a good time.

One more

Just joined this little group so you might as well know something about me. I’m from Huntsville, but live in Richmond Va now. I am retired US Navy. I am married to a wonderful gal from Brooklyn NY who had no clue about “Bama” before me and now she just tolerates my obsession. All she cares about are the “ugh” Yankees. Go figure. I have one son in high school and one beautiful Keeshond named Raider..he’s all silver and black and I am a fan…hence the name. She has two pomeranians. I’m a plant technician that manufactures liquid CO2 for all your favorite beverages and such. I love to have a coktail or two of Jack and whatever or nothing else at all. I am a registered Tennessee Squire with the Distillery—-I have my own one inch by one inch plot of land near the distillery—benefits of my squireship. If anyone is ever near there, stop by and mow it for me. I don’t get down there as often as I should for upkeep. RTR!!
