Auburn has been trying to sell the early playing time bit with him the entire year, and it hasn’t worked. He’s widely expected to sign with ’Bama, and that should be the case.

Many more will be coming relatively soon. Of all of the current commitments, no issues are expected. However, keep your eye out for Sentimore… LSU is still going after him and we want to see an LOI with his name on it ASAP, so be on the look out for that.

Need a favor...
Okay guys, I am not going to be around from about 8:45 to 9:45 this morning, so that should mean I will miss the announcement of Pat Patterson, and maybe be a couple of minutes late for Patrick and Massie. I’ll probably be here for the latter two because there should be some delays, as per usual, but I’ll miss Patterson if his time is firm.
That said, if you guys can, make sure you get up the news on Patterson when it comes across, and then if Todd sees it he can update the main thread, or I’ll do it when I get back on.

… this one has Les Miles written all over it. You can take it to the bank, Miles is somehow manipulating this one to get Randle back into the fold.
Benton said that he would sign last night with LSU, and this morning he wakes up signing with Auburn. I’ll be honest… I think Miles pulled his offer, and I think this seals the deal with Randle going to LSU.

I think it is entirely possible that the LSU coaches botched it with both Benton AND Randle. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Benton to AU, Randle to OU and KK to LSU.

Randle at OU is not farfetched
They are a pass happy division. But I thinkthat he has the potential to be a bigger diference-maker at Bama
If RR really was worried about splitting time with another elite receiver, then he certainly does not want to go to Alabama

I’ll say this… after OM sealed the deal with Patterson, you really have to worry about this one. They are selling him on the idea that he starts at left tackle from day one, and that is something (with Fluker) that we can never offer.

I think Bama is in third for Randle, so if Randle doesn’t go to LSU he goes to OU, which means Bama could lose KK to LSU.

The Myles situation was admittedly a toss-up, and the Patterson situation looked a bit bleak, but this one is a major shocker. Massie was considered a ’Bama lock as of a day or so again, so this one is unreal.
He must have just wanted to play left tackle. I guess this all goes back to Fluker and the fact that you can only sign so many talented guys at one position. With no Fluker, I have no doubt we get Massie.

I was always afraid of Massie going to a different school because to play LT. It is not something that we can offer. The fact is there is a massive difference in pay from being a LT and RT in the NFL.

He basically needs another tenth of a point on the core GPA, or another point on the ACT.
As for Richardson, this shouldn’t affect anything, but you can bet there will be plenty worried people this afternoon. After missing on Patterson, Myles, and Massie, combined with Sam Montgomery’s comments, it’ll be bad for those with stomach ulcers.
Still though, rationally speaking, all signs point to Richardson sticking with Alabama.

Shepard said Debose was going to LSU, along with a ton of other recruits. None of them panned out.
A couple of months back McCarron said Randle was coming to Alabama… obviously that isn’t happening.

With Benton going to Auburn, I have to believe that Bell sticks with LSU, even with Randle going there as well. I would, however, really like to get him. With Patterson to Ole Miss, Randle to LSU, and Teague to UT, the only receiver we have left other than Bell is Kelly, and we need two more receivers.

what happened to the rumor that he was waiting till after NSD? I guess now that he’s considered an LSU lock again, that rumor is dead?
Speculation has it
that Myles pulled an offer to another receiver to smooth things over with Randle.
I heard that, but...
His dad was also talking about how it was a trust issue with Miles. If he was upset that Miles deceived him about signing that player, I don’t see how pulling an offer at the last minute for a guy that has been working for 2 years to get eligible to join your program would make Randle’s dad more comfortable with LSU.
I think so...
Lots of uncertainty with Randle. He was originally scheduled for noon today, then there was talk of him waiting ’til later, and then he was perhaps announcing tonight at his church, etc.
However, I think he’s firmly in the LSU fold now, so I imagine he’ll announce sometime in the next hour. No use waiting any longer.

Anyways, right after that a Auburn homer gets on, and he is talking about how great Auburn is doing blah, blah, blah. He then gives the quote of the day when refering to the interview with Lutzenkirchen.

Marlon Brown may very well be signing with Ohio State, so that’s a surprise.
If true, though, that guarantees Ohio State the #1 spot with Scout even with LSU’s surprise get of Montgomery.
That is unless LSU gets Richardson, but I don’t expect that.
