I just hate that this idiot Kitten

has deflected all of the attention away from the real a**-hole action yesterday—Miles jerking Benton’s scholly at the last minute because a 17 year-old child is now calling the shots now for the LSLosers. Miles is one lucky you-know-what because, without this BS, the media would have been all over the Benton situation and all of our 11th graders watching recruiting shows would see for themselves how untrustworthy Miles is.

The statements Kiffen has made...

since he became the coach at tn make it clear he is out of his league.
I wonder what Monte thinks about his son’s comments.
When Kiffen was announced the new head coach I thought it was a bad hire, now I know it was.
tn travels to fla and BAMA next year, and he is talking smack about both, does not make much sense….of course neither does the hire.

if you pop over to this thread on the SBNation tennessee blog Rocky Top Talk (a quality effort and well worth regular perusal, i must add) you’ll see there are folks in the volunteer state not completely pleased with their coaches deportment today. the concern over the chest beating by kiffin and the orgeron in the wake of nabbing a couple coups is pretty dead on. and it makes one consider what would be the proper reaction by a good coach after bringing in a quality haul on signing day…?

probably being thankful and indicating that you look forward to their production on the field. or pretty much what every other coach that hauled in class that made the top 25 in the rankings. hopefully, kiffin figures this out by the time he brings in a class that can break that barrier.

Wait....

you mean Ed Orgeron chanting “YAW YAW YAW YAW YOUR GRANDMA’S GARBAGE YAW YAW YAW BE A MAN, DON’T LISTEN TO HER YAW YAW FOOTBALL” to Marlon Brown wasn’t an effective recruiting tactic, and now some UT fans are pissed? No way…

It's KIFFIN you Bammers

At least get the name right of the man who’s gonna kick your ass.

Really?

What position does he play?

by MeanBobMean on Feb 6, 2009 8:13 AM CST up reply actions

HAHAHAHA

You must be as much of a moron as Kitten is. Is that the right spelling? You won’t be able to get his name right in a couple of years either, when he’s an assistant at some junior high school in MInnesota.

by BAMA1AGAIN on Feb 6, 2009 8:17 AM CST up reply actions

oh, kiffin...

well tell kiffin and lance that it does not appear they are owning Memphis as they proclaimed yesterday…SABAN is not scared of this kid.

.It didn’t take long for the University of Alabama recruiting machine to strike early for 2010 as one of the top junior wide receivers in the southeast has committed to the Crimson Tide. Mitchell (Memphis) receiver Keiwone Malone gave his verbal pledge to Tide Coach Nick Saban on Wednesday evening.

“He committed last night to Coach Saban and I know he was happy to do it early,” said Mitchell Coach Nathan Cole. "He is an exciting playmaker for us. He is the kid that can go up and get the ball and turn a five-yard pass pattern into a 70-yard touchdown. He can truly do it all.

“He is a great kid as well. Keiwone is one of our team leaders and someone that has respect from all of his classmates and teammates.”

Malone holds offers from Tennessee, Georgia, Illinois, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Auburn, Arkansas and Duke.

“Alabama really got a great kid and great football player with Keiwone. He is an exceptional athlete and a real difference maker for us.”

As a sophomore, Malone had 70 catches for 1,249 yards and 12 scores.

This fall he had 13 receptions for 358 receiving yards with three touchdowns in one semifinal playoff game.

but Saban and Meyer are going to put a country boy ass whooping on KIFFIN next year in T-Town and G-Ville

Problem is...

Penguins live at the South Pole and polar bears live near the North Pole. Still, it’s funny. Maybe a seal would have been a better esthetic choice?

Richard Pittman

by Richard Pittman on Feb 6, 2009 6:28 AM CST reply actions

A seal

…that’s about to crash a pair of miniature cymbals over a polar bear is definitely more realistic.

Maybe that penguin got those cymbals for Christmas and was dared by the other penguins to go to the Arctic Circle and do that to a polar bear because they were sick of hearing those damn cymbals all the time. Ever think of that?

Scarbinksy had a great article (did I just say that?)

http://www.al.com/sports/birminghamnews/kscarbinsky.ssf?/base/sports/1233911763228540.xml&coll=2

My favorite lines:

You have to wonder what a true professional like new UT assistant Eddie Gran thought as he witnessed Kiffin’s performance. There’s nothing wrong with rallying your own troops, but there’s a difference between celebrating your signing class and signing your team’s death warrant.

Bluster and bravado won’t beat Florida or Alabama. Given the take-no-prisoners approach of both Meyer and Saban, Guantanamo might be a safer place for the Vols come the fall than Gainesville or Tuscaloosa.

Alabama judges its team by national and SEC titles. Auburn judges its team by how many times it beats Alabama. You tell me who the dominant team in the state is.

i like...

Phillip Fulmer preferred to blow the whistle on his rivals in private. Very funny article.

ok – enough. i’m tired of talking about these asswipes. this will get settled on the field and i’m certain our coach will have the last word.

Still

I’d much rather have somebody like Kiffin to deal with, who’s more like an annoying fly you have to swat every October, than a Fulmer who would sell his own soul for a doughnut.

Don't do that.

Don’t talk about Fulmer, a CLASS ACT, like that. That’s just as low as you can stoop man. He NEVER went three years without taking a team to Altanta, other coaches would kill for that stat. You bammer jammers need to find something else to talk about other than Tennessee, perhaps your bad basketball team?

A class act? Maybe in your neck of the deep woods. He NEVER went three minutes without being a slimy piece of dung. You Viles need to find somewhere else to read comments, perhaps the bathroom stalls your mothers frequent?

It makes you wonder. . .

If we shouldn’t reconsider what Al Davis said about the guy as being prescient instead of just the spittle-flecked ramblings of a has been as was reported at the time. Maybe Al D was right all along? Kiffin is certainly proving him right.

And Orgeron, what’s he going for? Least likely to be hired for anything anywhere 2011?

by MeanBobMean on Feb 6, 2009 8:17 AM CST reply actions

Finebaum

had a good line about that. Something to the effect of only Kiffin can be this big of an idiot that it makes Al Davis look smart.

Okay, okay- so thing's haven't been . . .

. . . going so well for former USC coaches. .

What with Lame Kitten at UT and his proverbial size 9 1/2 foot (you know what THAT means?), stuck somewhere north of the crack of his ass.

Then there’s Steve Sarkisian and Nick Holt (recent Rose Bowl champ OC and DC coaches at USC) now at University of Washington.

Things have gotten so bad (recruiting violations? got some?) for Sark and Nicky, that some U-Dub fans are now calling them “Sarkheisel” and “Slick Nick” (both: rapier-like stabs at formerly disgraced/newly embraced Coach Neuheisel).

Hey? They weren’t this bad at the coaching business when they were assistants. Wait, assistants? Oye! That there might be the rub? . . . . . holding a clipboard and looking like you always gotta take a sh_t on the sidelines on gameday Saturdays IS A LOT DIFFERENT than actually REALLY COACHING A MAJOR FOOTBALL PROGRAM. (sh_t-face, not excluded)

These 3 disciples of Pete Carroll must learn a few of the subtleties that go along with being a head coach.

1. fake modesty
2. scripted humility
3. some semblance of class and decorum
4. never visit recruits at a HAIR SALON! (just saying, never know what beotch might be there getting THEIR HAIR DONE! and that’s all that needs to be said about that one)

So, there’s four. I’m sure there’s more . . . .but “eff” the Vols and Huskies! Eff ’em.

(at least, that’s what my nephews are now saying these days. supposed to mean “it’s okay, i understand”, but i cracked my ass up when i heard it from those frowzy 11-yr old changelings! . . . .)

Seriously though, is kid gonna grow up someday? I’ll admit, I might be piling-on the guy- but you just can’t MAKE UP THE SH_T? His enemies couldn’t imagine to wish these things that he helps to create for himself! Lane Kiffin. He singular, alone- makes Les “The Meaux-ron” Miles look like a sophisticated man about town.

He’s verklempt. In manner and disposition.

I find you Bama fans funny.

Lane Kiffin isn’t scared. If you haven’t figured that out by now? I find it hilarious that you guys feel the need to trash him, because you have nothing better to do. Yes, he may have made a bad comment on Urban Meyer, but I love this adrenaline shot that he’s given to Vol Nation, after years of Fulmer keeping his mouth shut after people made comments about his weight. You guys puff out your chest and say we’ll beat you by 50 next year, you may but we’ll go down swinging!
