THAT is a thing of beauty...
But what am I going to do with my glut of “Mark’s Madness” merchandise?
I just won a t-shirt tearing contest against the Tennessee coaching staff

Store it with your "Got Shula" t-shirt...
… and stop buying specific coaches’ gear until they’ve proven themselves as elite.

Anyone watch the press conference?
I was really impressed. I want to see Anthony Grant and Saban compete in a “Light a Fire Under That Ass” competition.

2 out of 3
It goes without saying that mens sports run the university of alabama (with no offense to gymnastics or softball)! the top thre are Football Basketball and baseball!! Football is rolling and we just got basketball started! does anyone know if we are going to do anything to spice up our baseball team!!??
The same things win that always won, and we just have a bunch of new excuses as to why we didnt achieve it!!! RDT

they are 26 in the polls
and took 2-3 from the #1 Dawgs two weeks ago. Also buddy, you forgot to mention that softball sells out every game and is in the top 5 in the country after spending some time at #1. Our gymnastics team just won the SEC Champ and is hosting a region of the NCAA turny. Oh, fyi, ever been to Coleman for a gymnastics meet? Prob not because you would know its packed from floor to ceiling and is a great substitute for BDS during the off season.

hold up
i wasnt saying that we needed to fire the baseball coach and i certainly wasnt saying that softball and gymnastics werent doing great!! there are other ways to spice things up such as facility upgrades!! when was the last time we upgraded the baseball stadium? and i said that softball and gymnastics arent the top sports followed by bama fans! provided that a lot of ppl do pay attention to them but not as religiously as we do football basketball and baseball!!!

Slow Down
Baseball last renovation: 2001 season,The $4 million expansion project gives the Tide one of the finest home facilities in all of college baseball it involved extending the grandstand down the right-field line. The addition of 2,000 seats raised the stadium capacity to 6,571 seats. The bench seats that filled the upper level of the grandstand were moved to the new addition. Chairback seats, similar to those in the lower level, were installed in the upper level. The stadium also received three new ticket booths, five new concession stands and five new restrooms for men and women. Two “hawker” stands were added to allow for concession sales in the grandstan…….per rolltide.com LINK
Softball last renovation: 2002 $2.2 million dollar renovation to clubhouse
Gymnastics/Volleyball-CAVE In 2005, The gymnastics suite is just the latest upgrade to Alabama’s facilities. Coleman Coliseum underwent a complete renovation costing nearly $30 million in 2005 as part of Alabama’s overall $125-plus million Crimson Tradition Building initiative. In addition to modernizing the facility, the project added offices, locker and meeting rooms for all sports and a new 6,400-square foot club level on the east side that opens into the arena. LINK
Basketball: 2005, when Coleman was renovated $24 million LINK
Alabama is always upgrading an athletic facility, it shows growth and power of the University, also looks good to recruits and parents when they show up on Campus and see their facility being upgraded:
GOLF- On Nov. 19, 2004, the Jerry Pate Golf Center officially opened LINK
TENNIS-12-court Tennis Stadium was completed in 2004 LINK
SWIMMING: The $1.2 million renovation included the following changes:
* A new pool surface
* Office space was added for coaches and administration
* The men’s and women’s locker rooms were redone with tile floors and new lockers
* The staff locker rooms were totally redone
* The pool was painted and tiled
* The facility’s light fixtures were changed
* A new sound system was installed
LINK
ATTENDANCE: 3000+ at a softball game, Over 15000 for a gymnastics meet, 6400 for Baseball. Softball and Gymnastics have been sold out JUST LIKE FOOTBALL for the last 2 for softball and 4 for gymnastics.
Simply because they are not sports you follow, some people do follow them closely and support these teams, the “under the radar” teams are really the ones bringing home some serious hardware. Yes basketball and football draw massive crowds. But see thats where you and me are different……YOU are a “Crimson Tide Fan” I AM a “University of Alabama” fan.
And since some people dont know what that is let me explain it for you……..The Crimson Tide fan is the one who might have seen the movie Crimson Tide and jumped on board, or who saw us play this season and go 12-0, or maybe they simply cheer for what they see on ESPN, which is football and basketball, and follow the football/basketball team on-line. On a fashion note at the game you can pick a Crimson Tide fan out by the attire they are wearing……usually consists of but not limited to: jeans, the bama shirt they got at walmart the night before, or the hoodie they just bought at the bookstore and are carrying the bag around campus like its a trophie
Now the “University of Alabama” fan…..that means i do more than just come here and see whats going on, Im in and give to Tide Pride, A+ Foundation, the FCA chapter there. And its not simply a money thing either, i follow the gymnastics team (went to watch them at UGA and in Nashville for the SECC), Watched baseball 2 weeks ago play the Dawgs in T-Town, im planning on going to see the softball team soon, go and watch our football team at home and on the road, keep up with whats going on at the University itself and in T-Town. Now what would one of these look like….prob wearing slacks or nice jeans, a polo they bought at bama fever or from the bookstore online, or my personal favorite…..the elephant wear, thats what i bust out to the game

Nice post until you got all 'Mr. Elitist' on us...
sounds a lot like ‘Auburn Man’ garbage. It’s good to know what the alumni REALLY think of the ‘sidewalk alumni’.

Comer I've listend
to a lot of your shovenistic remarks and can live with them, but when you try to tell me that cause I buy my Tide shirt from WalMart that its not good as yours . Or that my little paying job won’t allow me to go to the championship games and still keep my twins in preschool. Or that cause I can’t afford to donate to the school that My Crimson blood doesn’t flow as deep as yours.
Buddy you got a lot of growing up to do and I still pray that this economy doesn’t treat your bussiness or any one elses as bad as mine over the last couple of years but just remember we can all be humbled. Especially when we show the arrogance you have in this post.

comer...
Your heart may be in the right place, but for you to give this opinion about other Alabama fans shows pure ignorance. Not everyone has the money to contribute to the University in the way you do. That does NOT make them less of a fan. I support all sports at the University and want us to win National Championships in every one, but do I watch track or tennis or volleyball? Hell, no!!! MANY do not watch softball or gymnastics, but that does NOT make them less of a fan. You need to get off your high horse and come down to the level of the little people. Some of them are a few you call “friends”.
BTW, if I like a shirt at Wal Mart, I’ll buy it. They had a SECCG T-shirt that was better than a lot I saw at the Bookstore or online.
