The Return of the Foy-ODK Sportsmanship Trophy
Gentle friends. Rejoice. For today - after six long years - the James E. Foy Omicron Delta Kappa Sportsmanship Trophy will return to the University of Alabama. The decisive 36-0 victory of the Crimson Tide over Auburn last November in the Iron Bowl will be completed tonight at halftime of the Alabama/Auburn basketball game in Coleman Coliseum.
The vaunted trophy will be handed over in a halfcourt ceremony and, as tradition dictates, the losing school’s SGA president must sing the winning school’s fight song afterward. An indignity I dearly hope ESPN will show during it's telecast of the game.
So, after being housed at the Auburn Lovelace Athletic Museum for the past six years, the trophy will now reside at the Paul W. Bryant Museum (previously, it was placed on display at the Ferguson Student Center).
Also, the Alabama basketball team is riding a three-game hot streak and, if they keep winning, an outside shot at the NIT tournament. If you attend, stick around and yell loud! Roll Tide!

and one other little thing...
It’s worth noting that, according to the Tuscaloosa News, someone in the Auburn Athletic department balked at paying for engraving the score of last year’s Iron Bowl onto the trophy for presentation. Auburn’s ODK chapter saw to it the engraving was done.

Can we please Find
Someone who can kick off past the 20 Yard Line. After we go up by 36 and are about to skunk them and grind in the humiliation, we kick-off to about their 25 and they look like “they are out to practice early” (As Bear used to say). Thank god they hada personnel foul. I would have hated for them to score.

Whats awesome..
Watching that 2nd team defense play makes me very excited. It gives us an early look at what our 1team will look like, say for a few players.
When you are an Alabama fan you are expected to hate Auburn, I hate Tennessee because I want to.

The clip that shows why Nick Saban is the best coach in the country now...
with 39 seconds left in a game that his team is winning 36-0 he is still screaming at his guys to be in the right position.

Can't believe this basketball game tonight matters
We were 2-5 in the SEC with home losses to Mercer and Vanderbilt at one point.
You fired your coach mid-season.
To think that this is a huge game for both teams (aside from the rivalry) is mind-boggling.

That video is a beautiful thing...
Brought back how great it felt to be #1 and on top of the world. The tears came, as usual. I just love the way John Parker was so excited for Greg after his touchdown throw. I will be so glad to see John Parker put his hands in the cement at Denny Chimes on A-Day. I wish I could be at the game tonight, but I’ll be there in spirit. I hope Coleman is rockin’. Here’s a pic I meant to post after the Iron Bowl:
