Walk on Kicker
This weekend on the golf course I learned that a Local from my town has made the team as a walkon. His last name is Stinnett and according to his father, during practice was hitting the uprights on kickoff. Now, this next part is gonna be a little hard to believe so TIFWIW. Also coming from his dad, he was 2/3 from 63yds on FG and hit a long of 68yds. Said the team went nutts when they saw him KO and hit the uprights. I know its not that exciting reading about a kicker and who knows if he will make it out of spring but, it would be nice to have a kicker take it out of the endzone on all kickoffs.

Hey, if he...
…can do it in a game that would be phenomenal.
I know its not that exciting reading about a kicker
Special teams, and especially kickers, can affect a game disproportionately to how few plays they’re on the field, so I love getting info on them.

Today is suppose to be his first real day with the team.
1st order of business, tackling drills. Gotta love that.

Has anybody else noticed...
…that Nico2.0’s recent absence has coincided with BamaRulez’ appearance? It’s like Clark Kent and Superman—you never see the two in the same place at the same time. Sorry to blow your cover, hombre.

Nope
its GrumptownTiger from TET. I hope Nico has better things to do than troll his own site.
Is it August yet?

I hinted towards that last week and was quickly shot down….it is a little funny..

Yeah, and I hope it was obvious...
…that it was tongue-in-cheek. Seriously, where is that guy?

I went...
to high school with him and graduated with him. His name is Parker Stinnett. He is better than Tiffin any day of the week. He will make an impact but he will not be kicking any 68 yard field goals, nfl kickers dont do that so be real. He is a stud tho. Great leg to go along with great accuracy, great addition to the team.
I can't even remember....
the last time we had a REAL kicker, except maybe Phillip Doyle.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.

Or was Phillip Doyle later than him?

Phillip Doyle...
was the last real kicker, plus he lived to level unsuspecting kick returners. Anyone remember the linebacker he went after on a kick off…I think against Oklahoma(?)?
How bout
Lane Bearden? He was a nice kicker as well
If Chuck Norris and Nick Saban got in to a fight, we would all have to hide underground. For 7 months the earth would be uninhabitable, ash would rain from the sky, sonic booms could be heard in the distance, and skeletons of those who were unfortunate enough to meet the two would litter the landscape. Let us pray to almighty God that these two never cross each others path.

I stand corrected...
I actually meant Lane Bearden in that post…I accidently typed Doyle and just caught it. Bearden was the only head hunter of a kicker I have ever seen…plus he was a very good kicker.
I remember in one of the South Carolina games...
Lane Bearden knocked the kick returner, who I believe was also one of the top rushers on the team as well, out of the game. Then punted his ENTIRE senior season with a torn ACL. That’s a man’s man for ya…

PROBLEM IS.......
You’re talking punter, I’m talking kicker, I think? When is the last time we had a kicker that could Boom the ball? It’s been awhile.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.
I am...
Telling yall that Parker is the real deal. if givin the chance which i know Saban will give him, then he is gonna shine at bama. The only reason he wasnt playing last year is that he had a broke leg from soccer.
Not
that exciting hearing about a kicker? You do know where you are, right?
Anyway, hope the stories are true.
Is it August yet?
exactly...
hearing that the water boy was able to improve his technique when it pertains to pouring water is news around here!

I actually think Bama fans have been surpassed this week
as the countries most crazy fans…check just this one site out…

that is one thread of three….comments off the chart….

UK
fans are nuts. I’ve always heard bad things about Calipari, like shady things. Like Umass should’ve been on probation for 10 years after he left sorta things.
Is it August yet?
Have you gone over to A Sea of Blue...
just look at the amount of hits they are getting…unreal…

I
can understand their enthusiasm. Losing to their rivals every year, sitting back and watching UF, UT and Louisville become powers while they miss the Big Dance. Sounds kinda familiar, doesn’t it?
Is it August yet?
yeah my dad is a huge UK fan
and we were talking about how similiar the two situations were/are. I swear reading through the comments over there gives me a flash back to the time right before we hired Saban…its quite freaky.

It
does remind me of that. I remember I was at work, and had JOX on in my office listening to Finebaum give the play by play. I was still holding my breath until Saban actually walked out of that plane. You could even hear the giddy in Finebaum’s voice.

Nice,
I was excited knowing that another Enterprise Local has a chance to make the team.

i just heard on another board that
relative to how quickly and efficiently the water is being delivered, we have made progress in terms of both accuracy and expedience. the bottles are making the rounds sooner, and less water is being lost in transport. we still have a ways to go though when it comes to achieving our goal of immediate maxium hydration on every down. more updates to follow…

ummm...
at this point, it would be nice to have a kicker that can consistently kick it to the 15 yard line…or consistently hit a 30 yard FG.

i didn’t notice that until you pointed it out. kiffin =‘s zero confidence :: Tiffin =’s fingers crossed…

i did...
but wasn’t sure what Comer met….if it was a slam on Kiffin then it wasn’t a very good one…if he slipped up he should be ashamed of himself…no Tiffin isn’t that great but he’s still a bama boy!

Ahhh
I’ll have to say that this isn’t that exciting, But at the same time we haven’t had a stud kicker in awhile, Tiffin could kick a 68 yarder, He’d just kick outside the uprights, Hell if this kid has accuracy then let him kick, If’ nerves are a porb’ just let him kick in some smaller non-conf games, And of course let him handle kick-offs, Overall I hope the kid does good.
