Lee is done at LSU (for all practical purposes)
Jefferson is their guy now. He looked good against GT, but not so good against Arky. Still he doesn’t put it up for grabs as much as Lee. I don’t think Jefferson will be the kind of QB that can take over a game for you, but I guess he will have RR catching passes. I don’t think LSU will be that good on O this year and their D was pretty bad last year. I see them as an 8-4 team. They should lose to UF, UGA, Ole Miss, and Bama, the last 3 are on the road. If they somehow lose to Arky or Auburn (there only other real threats for a loss) it will be interesting to see what happens to the Hat.
I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.

I don't think the fans will ever cut Lee a break...
And that’s a shame. Lee really battled it out last year.
I think our D will be back to it’s championship form next year. You have to remember, it’s not like our recruiting slipped, we just had bad coaches last year who were out of their league.
The offense, well that is another story. We’ll see how good Crowton really is next year. I’m hoping to win the West at 10-2, with probable losses to UF and either Bama or Ole Miss. I think Arkansas could be really tough next year too. I don’t see anyone running away with the West next year like Bama did last year.

Arkansas...
…is going to be this year’s Ole Miss (a few head scratching losses, but will take their scalps as well) and Ole Miss will be this year’s Mississippi State (coming off a great year with a ton of hype but will somehow find a way to bungle it).

Speaking of Lee, Jonno...
… I actually have a statistical piece coming up on him in the next few weeks. He’s a player I found pretty interesting last year, so I decided to do a bit of a deeper look into his performance.
Anyway, LSU will be interesting this year. I said a year ago they were a unique team that was almost impossible to predict, and I think that goes again this year. I could pick them to go 7-5, or 11-1, and frankly I wouldn’t really feel any better about one prediction than the other. It’s just a very tough evaluation.

Every
year it seems like LSU is that way.
Is it August yet?

that's because every year...
…LSU IS that way.

Jefferson
showed a lot of promise last year. I think he’ll be good for them. The question will be, will he get the coaching he needs to go along with his talent?
Is it August yet?

It's interesting...
… that you post this particular YouTube in relation to the upcoming Yea Alabama, because I almost chose this play as a part of my individual play analysis. Ultimately it didn’t make the cut, along with several other plays, but I do plan on getting up a more brief explanation of the play, along with the other plays that didn’t quite make the cut.
Right now, the group of plays I have that didn’t make the list include:
- Rashad’s interception return for a touchdown against LSU.
- Glen Coffee’s touchdown run against Kentucky.
- Greg McElroy’s touchdown pass against Auburn.
- The 4th down stop by Dont’a Hightower against Ole Miss
- Julio Jones’ touchdown catch against UGA.
