USC Trojans to play the Tide in A Day game April 18th

Both schools announced today that the Trojans will travel to Tuscaloosa to play the Tide in the Tide’s annual A-Day game to be held on April 18. While A-Day games are usually inter-squad games only, USC pushed very hard to get the opportunity to come and play the Tide. USC head coach, Pete Carroll said, in making the announcement, “we just want the chance to play in front of a large crowd for a change and we could use the TV time too.”


Auburn hit with BIG sanctions, must forfeit all of 2008 games

Today the NCAA came down hard on the Auburn Tigers hitting them with the harshest possible sanctions short of the death penalty. Auburn was cited for violating a number of NCAA rules and six cows. Under the sanctions Auburn must forfeit all of its 2008 wins. Auburns athletic director was quotes as saying, “that’s not too bad a sanction considering that that’s only about a win a cow.”


Tennessee’s Lane Kiffin files charges against Obama

Tennessee Vols head coach Lane Kiffin has filed charges with the NCAA accusing President Obama of recruiting valuations claiming Obama recruited into his cabinet several tax dodgers who Coach Kiffin was trying to recruit for the Vol’s offensive and defensive lines.


Auburn’s Gene Chizik found dead at his desk

Auburn Tigers head coach, Gene Chizik was found dead seated at his desk within the Tigers’ athletic complex today. It appears he died two days after he became the new Tiger head coach but apparently no one ever noticed until today.


Tornado hits Auburn’s stadium

Last night’s storms produced a tornado that struck Jordan Hare stadium last night doing an estimated $10 million worth of improvements. The same storm struck the Auburn University Library destroying all 67 books housed within. It was a crying shame,” stated the librarian, “ we lost them all and there were still 8 books that hadn’t been colored in yet.”
