Your RBR Word of the Day: pulchritude
pulchritude \PUL-kruh-tood; -tyood\, noun:
That quality of appearance which pleases the eye; beauty; comeliness; grace; loveliness.

The pulchritude inherent in a streaking Marquis Maze hauling in a meaningless touchdown pass from a backup quarterback in the final minutes of a blowout is certainly one of the greatest symbols of the sudden shift in power from Auburn to Tuscaloosa.

yes sir
this is the first of many iron bowl victories for the tide!! with UT and AU struggling we should dominate our rivalry games and ive got a feeling that the alabama lsu game and the alabama UM game is going to decide the west!!! at least for the next couple of years!!
The same things win that always won, and we just have a bunch of new excuses as to why we didnt achieve it!!! RDT
I just can't see UM
holding out under the Nutt. Maybe compete for 3rd in the West, and upset some people, and be an ABSOLUTE thorn in our side like UArk was, but not a SEC contender

I
think Todd had it right when he said Arky is going to be the sleeper this year and UM will fold under Nutt just like all those talented Arky teams he had.
Is it August yet?
Of course I had it right....
Why wouldn’t I?
Honestly, though, look at the teams. Ole Miss this year is in the same situation as UGA was last year; talent at QB and RB behind a rebuilt o-line riding a wave of expectations built on what was accomplished last year with players that aren’t there anymore. And if you look at Arkansas, they are in the same boat as Ole Miss was last year; enough talent in the right places and a coach that can get plenty out of them. They will lose a few head scratchers (Vandy and Wake anyone?), but they’ll be playing solid football by the end of the year and will grab a scalp they shouldn’t (please don’t let it be ours, please don’t let it be ours…).
At
least we have them at home. And its just fitting that the Bama-Ark game go back to being the nail-biters they usually are.
Is it August yet?
the one to watch out for IMO
is South Carolina on homecoming…..exclude last years beatdown shutout of Arky State, when have we really preformed well on homecoming?
"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit."
Yeah
don’t even want to think about La. Monroe two years ago, and last but least, Central Florida Golden Knights in 2000, eep.
Is it August yet?
La-Monroe was...
…Senior Day in 2007. Houston was Homecoming and we won that one.
"I hate everything orange"
It's all about Crimson - ROLL TIDE!!!
I prefer
never to speak of that day again! Those idiots in Monroe are a thorn in my side!

Oh not even close to mine
Hands down, no questions asked, La Monroe… Maybe it was being there, maybe its because I was friends with some of the seniors, maybe the deal of hearing booing in BDS AT Alabama made my stomach turn

True
but that was still a first year coach, with Dubose, we were ranked #3 preseason defending SEC champs playing a team that had competed in D-I all of about a month or so. To this day I am embarrassed by the UCF game.

Definitely
This has to be one of the best pictures I’ve seen from an Alabama football game. That catch is still etched in my memory from the night it happened. It was just one of those indescribably beautiful moments when your team still executes perfection when it doesn’t even need to anymore. I wish I could find a large enough version of this to have it framed.
I
agree that we have performed bad in the homecoming games over the yr’s, Anyway that TD pass didn’t change the outcome of the game by any means, But it did show that McElroy can get the job done, And I for one said he should have started over JP IMO.
apparently you believe...
…your ‘opinion’ trumps the Nictator’s hand’s on knowledge. I don’t suggest you let him know that.

Hmmm
no not exactly what I was thinking, JP had some great games last yr no doubt, He was flawless against UGA, Couldn’t really ask him 2 be much better than he was that game, And some ppl from the outside looking in didn’t notice the things he done, People seen his stats and overlooked the other side of it, Like how good of a game manager he was, But at the same time, he should have been benched in a few games, the Utah game is the that sticks out in my mind, Maybe saying McElroy should have started over him was jumping the gun, But we’ll see who’s better this yr.
