How is the weather at the stadium?

Not on CBS again !!

Wilson Love

Apparently Wilson Love just committed to Alabama. He of course being the brother of Tyler Love, not too surprising. It will be interesting to see how many commitments come out of A-Day, as it could be a spring board to a big weekend for recruiting.

Roll Tide!

Cannot wait to kick things off, today. Hopefully, we end up with zero injuries and get to see some explosive plays, on both sides of the ball.

Looking forward to seeing the new field, as well.

Update from the stadium

I just talked to my brother who is at the stadium, and he had this to say:

1. There is probably 50-60k there, almost the whole bottom level is full, with scattered fans in the upper deck

2. There was a U-Cheat scout there in puke orange, and the whole stadium booed him out until he eventually left

3. Weather is about 70 deg. and overcast with a slight breeze, perfect for players and fans.

4. There are a lot of recruits down on the field and are being treated like kings. He said the fans are cheering them and aking for autographs everywhere they go. No suprise, but could you imagine being in high school experiencing this? 60k show up for a scrimmage, cheering for you and asking for your autograph! Wow! Who wouldn’t want to play for Bama?

50 to 60 thousand? thats it?

i gotta say if that number holds true i will be pretty darn disappointed in our fanbase. i know for a fact that NASCAR is going in in phoenix this weekend, so there’s no excuses. anything under 75 or 80 thousand is unacceptable.

dadgummit

I should have gone. No real way to do it—but I really thought there was gonna be a packed stadium.

That being said, probably double what Auburn had and what Georgia had last week.

Never quit. It is the easiest cop-out in the world.

guess i was wrong

the guys on espn said the attendance was somewhere around 84,000. which, if true, indicates that we’re progressing as we should be, as a fan base, relative to our relationship to the program. the process continues…

by Todd on Apr 18, 2009 2:30 PM CDT up reply actions

oh yeah. i remember

a few seasons back, we’d get no updates for a few days, then a post about how awful charter is….

charter is probably the worst large business i have ever dealt with. ( i used to work in billpay customer service for a major bank and would call the customers billers on their behalf for disputes…. charter and sprint/nextel were the two companies people wouldn’t even call. they’d just put the caller on hold, wait, then come back and say “their hold time is longer than 20 minutes. do you want to wait? if not we can have our payment research team follow later” no one ever wanted to call charter….

hate to say it...

i have charter and have never had a problem…
