What did Nick Saban really say to recruit Bobby Massie after Massie spurned Alabama? - The Rap Sheet - al.com
""Man... what you saw on that blog wasn't even true," Massie told me. "
I am shocked (SHOCKED!) that deepsouthsports would post something painting Alabama and Nick Saban in a negative light without bothering to make sure it's true! SHOCKED!

If massie Starts
I would love to see Washington and Hightower crash his side and get a couple of sacks against Ole Miss.
Auburn fans are like slinkys... not really good for anything but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
Now we know DeepsouthSports is a liar
Maybe something good came from this smear.
The guy copies & pastes rumors from an Internet message board and then won’t admit when his “story” is wrong.
Its
part of the price you pay for beating everyone’s a#%. They can’t beat you on the field, so they must try it another way.
Is it August yet?
LOL. Good point.
To be honest, I never thought of that website as a liar before.
I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt because anyone can make a mistake. But the lameness of Deepsouthsports defense, exposes the site’s true motivation.

I never thought of him as a "liar" before...
….and still wouldn’t necessarily consider him one right now, but considering the majority of his blog is nothing but an ode to his hard on for Alabama, it shouldn’t shock anyone that he would copy and paste ANYTHING that paints Alabama in a negative light without bothering to think “is this true, does this even sound like something Nick Saban would actually say?” first.
I didn't think of him as a liar until I read his lame defense this morning. Sophistry!
However, it could just be emotion clouding judgment.
Your post earlier this week was the perfect deconstruction of the allegation. Nick Saban doesn’t sound like that. The supposed quote didn’t ring true to how Saban sounds, or how Saban acts.
It just fit the guys epistemological framework, therefore, he wants to spread it on the Internet.

This is SEC football...
emotion and agenda are often entwined due to attachment to the football team. Emotional devotion to a football team could make an otherwise rational person behave irrationally.
I think there has to be a distinction between typical polemic, which all blogs engage in, and the outright hate spewed by a few.

I just love it that he "digged" into Lame. . . .ONCE MORE!
You gotta hand it to Massie though, he could’ve easily stoked the flames of all that Deepsports drivel. But he didn’t. That’s alright in my book.
Anytime anyone has something negative about Coach to me, they look at me as if “they’ve got proof ad nauseum about his guilt, disposition, and unseemliness”. It’s the most frustrating thing to have to contend with. And most of the people I talk to out here in California haven’t the slightest idea about Coach Saban, let alone SEC football.
And to that end, after seeing Lane Kiffin interview with ESPN sports regarding the Alshon Jeffrey controversy, I saw the same mannerisms and lying characteristics Lame exhibited while he would downplay his shenanigans out here in LA while he “assited” in coaching. (NEPOTISM AND FAVORITISM being Monte Kiffin’s progeny). He’s a piece of work, and he has all those cats Knoxville drinking soup at his warlock’s cauldron.
Love it, on multiple levels! I’m shocked too. And duly impressed at how retarded people can actually be regarding Coach Saban and Lame Kitten.
Comer4tide to Nico2.0: "How come I've never heard of any of your random songs?"
Todd to Comer: "Because if you had, he wouldn't listen to it. BOOM. Roasted."
Nico to Todd: "Shouldn't you be off voguing somewhere?"
Saban's personality makes any lie seem plausible.
This is what makes untruths so difficult to refute. Everyone knows Nick Saban would do that! Ergo, he must have done it!
Unfortunately, this lie just reinforces a perception of Saban that other outlets picked up. I doubt the truth about this will get the same amount of attention around the Internet, or from the public.

That's what I love most about coach
His personality.
In my book, he’s almost the perfect coach. And I’m glad he’s down with the Tide!

To be absolutely honest,
I don’t think CNS gives a Chinatown rat’s b-hole what the so-called media thinks. With CNS at the helm, Bama won 12 games last year and have been nothing short of miraculous on the recruiting trail. So all the haters can suck on that.
What is amazing is that
it took so long for someone to actually call Massie and ask him.
Time and again rumors about Saban and Bama prove to be false and often just plain lies.
I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.
Just a bunch of haters......
It steams me that anyone on this site or any other would make excuses for an out and out lie and the liar that told it.
I’m sure that CNS doesn’t care and to be honest with you, anyone with a lick of sense doesn’t care either, but a lie is a lie.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.
The source of the initial report was Ole Miss "journalist," Yancy Porter
As any Ole Miss fan who doesn’t subscribe to his site can tell you, he’s not the brightest or most objective guy out there.
Take a picture, trick.
