"Offensive lineman Chad Lindsay said at a news conference in The Woodlands, Texas, that he will sign with the Crimson Tide. He is the sixth such player to do so for the 2010 class.

Lindsay is a 6-foot-2, 307-pounder who plays guard or center. He picked Alabama over offers from finalist LSU, along with Georgia, Florida State, Auburn, and others. He is not yet rated by any of the recruiting services."

I'm glad you posted right after yourself

Because you used perfect grammar in the first post, and used some intellect. Good thing you posted right after it to cover it up, maybe we won’t know and tell him our super-duper-top-secret-you-only-know-if-your-in-the-know playbook we all have here at the blog. I’ll go ahead and tell you our secret to success, since its obvious your a bammer too, See we play lock down defense against the run, we’re getting better against the pass, play solid special teams, and don’t lose the game on offense, but SHHHH don’t tell anyone! Thats just for us Bammers to know.

I just can’t see why you would go to someone else’s site and start crap. I am not even a member at TET, I have plenty of AU friends, and we can carry on intelligent convos, but some just piss me off, i.e. Charles from Reeltown, or I-man. I mean seriously, I don’t flame Auburn like that, why comes start that here… And don’t even get me started in UT

If you guys must know...

I was in Tuscaloosa a few years back for a game. There was a group of guys there tailgating next to us, all of them close to 30 years of age. They may have been the most obnoxious fans in the world and if any of them had finished high school, I would be shocked.

Everything they said amounted to how Alabama was the best team in the football universe, how they were “balling” and how they could not be stopped. One of them had on a tee shirt that said “Bama Rules.” And of course he was decked out with a hounds tooth hat (which by the way, the Bear wore a plaid hat).

For most of the day, other than their annoying crap about how Alabama was going to kick my teams ass and the tobacco spitting, things were going ok and everyone was friendly.

And then, all of the sudden, the shit hit the fan. Out of no where this girl shows up. She walks up to one of the guys, says something to him and he slaps her to the ground. My friends and I were floored and we tried to help her. That’s when they came at us and told us to mind our own business. As the girl tried to get up, the guy kicked her really hard in her side.

At that point, we decided that enough was enough and we walked over, grabbed the girl and pulled her away. They became irate and started throwing beer bottles at our truck. At that point, 4 cops came and broke things up and took them away in hand cuffs with the girl following them, begging them to let them go.

There was not enough damage to the truck to worry about, since it was already dinged up from hunting trips, so we let that go, just happy to be rid of them. We go to the game, had a good time, and come out to a truck with 4 slashed tires; a broken windshield, head lights and tail lights; key scratches all along the truck and a nice large ass shaped dent in the hood.

Apparently, there were no witnesses and Tuscaloosa PD thought there was not enough evidence to make an arrest, even though the guys from before were apparently let go and never taken to jail.

And so goes the legend of BamaRulez and the Ballin Bama Boom Train.

I thought your posts were pretty funny...

…but I’m calling BS on your tailgating story.

by yellowhammer on Apr 6, 2009 5:37 PM CDT up reply actions

Ok see there you go

At least now I see what your problem is. I will not discount that tailgating story, because I wasn’t there to discount it. But be honest, do you think that all Gator fans are perfect individuals, I’ve seen many of them that probably would have done the same things the Bama guys you talked about did. We all have our bad seeds, but do you really think we are all like that? I mean just come in here say your story, and we’ll call those guys assholes, because thats what the were. This response is not in any way a defense, those guys should be put under the jail, but you have to know that’s an isolated incident. And FYI, there are plenty of Bama fans that have graduated with B.S., M.S. and PhD. from UA.

by morri029 on Apr 6, 2009 5:56 PM CDT up reply actions

Man, we have our bad seeds too. And no, I do not think all bama fans are like that. I have nothing against most Bama fans (especially since my grandfather was a UA grad). I was just having a little fun with the character and giving you the back ground info on how and why I made it up. Everything was all in jest and very light hearted at that. It was meant to be blatantly obvious just in case you didn’t notice. I don’t see were I said anything that was out of line, or had not been said before.

by BamaRulez on Apr 6, 2009 7:52 PM CDT up reply actions

I have a similar story but just the opposite...

…from 2006 at Ben Hill Griffin. Except it was a Gator fan in a wheel chair who purposely rode over my foot at Gator City. He proceeded to call me an asshole for no reason other than wearing an Alabama shirt. It was actually somewhat humorous. True story….

Fact of the matter is…there are a$$hole fans from everywhere…Auburn, Alabama, LSU, Florida, FSU (the worst in my opinion), Miami, Georgia….etc, Hell, probably even Vandy. We can’t let the ignorance of a few ruin it for the rest.

In fact, I have a test for you…next time you attend a game in Gainesville, wear the opposite teams colors…and see how well you are treated by Gator fans….it may open your eyes…

I

heard horror stories coming out of the Bama/UGA game last year. I was very suprised as I never heard anything too bad about their fans until then.

Yeah, when the beat us in OT in 2007

Their fans ripped our NC banners out of the North Endzone. I have no respect for UGA whatsoever after that

What

you witnessed wasn’t indicative of Alabama fans, or Alabama people. It was indicative of ignorant scum of the earth thugs. And unfortunately, they live in every city, in every state and probably every neighborhood in the country. So to equate that behavior to Alabama football fans in general, is ignorant on your part. I am sorry you had that experience though. I have been to my fair share of games in T-town and never had any problems whatsoever. And that includes fans of the visiting team.

You

know I just thought of something. If Auburn was after this guy too then this is like double wammy for them because their OL situation is in bad to say the least. This is kind of a shot to the gut for AU if you ask me, they can offer immediate playing time at several positions, especially OL.

I

think AU offered him and they are in dire need of a great, not good, OL class in 2010.

i understand

i even bashed you once or twice,If that story is true thats is a complete embarrassment to all of us and they deserve to get the clap and die of the itch. I have no problem with florida and enjoyed the game this year. Please don’t let the worst possible people represent us. When you have made a serious post it has not been so bad. The reason i bashed you before now is that I’m a little sensitive about people really thinking most of us are like that. I think i can speak for most of us that yeah we want Bama to win bad,but we also want a good game,a good time (some of the most fun i’ve had have been at road games) and for no one to get hurt. I don’t think we are the best team in the football universe, i was born in 79 and we have had a fair amount of down time but i will always pull for bama and hate on assholes that act like that and make us all look bad.

Hey Guys

If you want BamaRulez to stop posting stuff as BamaRulez, cold shoulder is the way to go. I’m tired of his “character” too, but it seems any response is enough for him to keep it going. This is the first and last time I’ll mention him. To BamaRulez: A suggestion: get a real name and be yourself and as bammer said “join the fun.”

by bamabrian on Apr 7, 2009 12:43 AM CDT reply actions

I say keep the name....

but be real from now on. chinesed said it best, so join in and see the true Bama fans, not the scum.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.

Agreed

every fanbase has idiots no matter where you go, I’ve been to many Bama games and never had any problems, Honestly I’ve had fans from other fan bases say that 90% of our fans are classy whether we win or lose, I’ve been to Baton Rouge, Gainesville, and of course Auburn, And honestly the Auburn fans are the worst from my exp’ so far, Anyway those other fans have also said that we’re among the best when it comes to class, sportsmanship, etc…. But yes BamaRulez you will so scum fans like that, but not all of us are like that, There’s bad things about every fanbase, But for us like other teams, We have more good than bad.
