NCAA investigators appear to be building a case to show the University of Southern California has demonstrated a lack of institutional control and failure to monitor some aspects of its football and men’s basketball programs, multiple sources interviewed in the probe told Yahoo! Sports.

As per the latest reports from Yahoo! Sports, it's not looking too good for USC right now. As much as people love to talk about them supposedly getting away with everything, it is certainly looking more and more like they will probably face major sanctions in both football and men's basketball. I know many of you downright hate the Trojans, I personally have nothing against them, but with that said, I'm certainly not envious of their situation right now. I'd sure as hell much rather have Textbook-gate on my hands than this stuff. And as a further point, I'd also make note that one of the top assistant coaches and the leading recruiter at USC at the time was none other than... drum roll please... Lane Kiffin. I'm not necessarily accusing him of any specific wrongdoing on his behalf, but if the program gets hit with LOIC, it's pretty hard to say he was completely ignorant (or should have been completely ignorant) about what was going on, and with all of the goings on in his tenure thus far at Tennessee, that personally makes this Alabama fan crack a bit of a smile.
