Prothro Named Wildfire WR Coach

Tyrone Prothro has been tapped as wide receivers coach for the Birmingham Wildfire semi-pro football team, according to CBS42. The former Alabama star started work this weekend and he reported that his first practice "went well."
Since graduating last year, Prothro has been pursuing a coaching careerand took part in the Jacksonville Jaguar's mini-camp last month at the invitation of his former coach at Alabama, Mike Shula.
We all wish him nothing but the best and just hope they figure out how to spell his name correctly before the season begins on June 6.

I hope this is a good stepping stone for Pro...
….but the LCFL looks horribly bush league. Half the team’s logos are complete rip offs of NFL teams (how are they not getting sued?), and the league was started by Patti LaBelle? Yeesh.
Since Pro
has his degree I’d sure like to see him break in at the high school level. I agree with Todd and I can’t think this league will pay anything either. My high school football coach once coached in one of these semi pro deals and he said it was horrible.
I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.
I wouldn't mind
meating errr meeting the dancers either
Hopefully
a GA position opens up next year for him at UA, thats where he needs to be.
