Alabama No. 1 State for Football Fans

Tidefans_medium
These are our people.

And no less than LIFE magazine says so. Well, they are relying on the Facebook Lexicon to make the determination. The service examines how often a specific topic is mentioned and them maps it out. LIFE did a search on the word "football" and, lo and behold, even though there are more than 100 days till the season gets started again, the Yellow Hammer State done come out on top.

It's like this for

me with Charles Bronson.

MATRIX: Bennett, I thought you were--

BENNETT: Dead? You thought wrong. Ever since you had me thrown out of the unit, I've been waiting to pay you back. Do you know what today is, Matrix? Payday.

Actually,

it looks like Oklahoma (.164%) has talked more about football than Alabama (.163%), by one, one-thousandth of one percent.

Maybe...

…but when you factor in the number of computer-illiterate — and simply illiterate — people in Alabama who talk about football on a daily basis, we easily surpass the mere thousands of illiterate people in Oklahoma who talk about football. Awr edukashun sisstim rawks!
