Around SBN: Jerry Sandusky's Wife Tries To Run A Reporter Over

Where's the UA baseball love?

I'm excited to see we made it into the Clemson regional, as the #2 seed. Just curious as to where the hype is around the news! Let's support these guys and start getting a buzz around some Crimson Tide baseball!

ROLL TIDE!

Is anyone planning on making the trip to South Carolina? Should be one hell of an atmoshpere for collegiate baseball, especially come Saturday!

FanPosts are just that; posts created by the fans. They are in no way indicative of the opinions of SBN and the authors of Roll Bama Roll.

You know how it is...

If they start making some noise in the tournament, everyone will be all over it! Of course, the early exit from the SEC tourney didn’t help as far as ‘hype’ is concerned.

fair weather sob's

at this point i’d just assume there not be any posts about baseball at all. if you only start posting once they start making headlines it just makes for a poor showing. just sad.

oh well, starting this evening we should have more softball posts for me to pay less than zero attention to.

I'm afraid...

… no one really cares about UA baseball. We have a few that do, but it just generally causes people to hit the snooze button.

2 and out in the SEC

is tough to swallow, especially when it’s double elimination.

Baseball will never be football at Bama. Heck, I am not really a baseball fan at all, the ONLY reason I halfway paid attention was because it was Bama. Be honest, Football and basketball are your bread winners. Baseball has to do well in order to garner support. Regardless of whether or not you think anyone is a “fairweather SOB”, it is incorrect to make that statement because you cannot force anyone to be a fan of a sport that the just don’t care about; doesn’t mean we don’t support the university, just means it isn’t as popular. In my view, it is at least third on the list (behind Golf) of sports I am a UA fan of.

I am an idiot.

at least fourth on the list behind football, basketball, and Golf. MAYBE even gymnastics.

force anyone to be a fan??

how did i try to do that?? my only point is that this site is a source of information regarding bama athletics for me and everyone else on here, however i have to go elsewhere for all of my bama baseball info (d1baseball.com is a pretty solid site by the way, if you want to follow regional action this weekend). and any fan that views a sport as having “to do well in order to garner support” is pretty much the dictionary definition of fairweather…so thank you for proving my point.

for the 3 people other than me who give a damn, the tide takes on okie state at 2pm today in the clemson regional. the tide should advance as okie state has no business even being in the tournament as they did not even qualify for their conference tournament. check the site above to follow the action online.

Yep. There;s the basebal love

just like the basketball love the past couple of years, you gotta show us something in post season play.

i guess you mean

like the football team has shown in the postseason in the last decade or so??

Sorry to ride the fence on this 'debate'...

…but my basketball love is always there, even during painful seasons like we have recently experienced. However, even if Bama were to win the CWS, I wouldn’t be ecstatic. Don’t get me wrong, I certainly would be happy for the team, glad it was ours, appreciative of the historic significance. But I wouldn’t watch much. I just feel about baseball the way many people feel about soccer and/or golf: it’s fun to play, but usually not so fun to watch.

That being said, I think it would be great to find more posts about all Bama sports here, but I am pretty sure that at least one or two of the site authors are human and have real lives. I usually just go to RollTide.com for any info on, say, gymnastics or women’s hoops.

And you gotta at least give a little credit to the football team. Two Independence Bowl wins and a top ten finish after a Cotton Bowl win ain’t much, but it’s something. I guess you could throw in the SEC championship win vs. UF in ‘99 if it’s the last decade ‘or so’. But whatevs. You know I watched every second of the crappy years, too. The horror…the horror…. TGFCNS.
