Alabama AG Ends Andre Smith Agent Inquiry
After Alabama OL Andre Smith was suspended for the Sugar Bowl due to improper contact with an agent representative, Alabama Attorney General swore to get to the bottom of the matter. Well, consider the bottom scraped as of today. The AG's office issued a statement today saying that there was "no probable cause to believe there had been any violations of Alabama's Sports Agents statutes."
Smith, who was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals, eventually signed Alvin Keels as his agent (who denied any wrongdoing in the improper contact matter), then fired him after a disastrous showing at the NFL Combine, then re-hired him last month.

Gee...
…do you think the AG’s ‘investigation’ was simply a political ploy to win over Bama voters? Nevermind, that’s just silly. That slimy-haired weasel would never stoop to such a thing.

…I think I just violated my own ‘no politics’ request. Apologies to BR07 and friends.

Isn't that nice of him...
the cows are out the barn now (no pun intended barners) and we ended up having to play the Suger Bowl without one of our best players.
