Rashad Johnson & The Cardinals
SB Nation blog covering the Arizona Cardinal's, Revenge of the Birds, takes a look at former Crimson Tide safety Rashad Johnson and ponders his future with the NFL franchise. Their take is that he's a future starter and likely to see significant playing time early. "It just sounds like everyone thinks the Cardinals got tremendous value with this kid," they write.

I think
he will do a great job with the Cardinals. I won’t ever forget his 3 interception night against LSU. Rashad refused to let us lose that game.
This upcoming season I'm gonna refer to Julio Jones as "The Magic Man" and Trent Richardson as "El Diablo"

Looking forward to watching him
We just live down the road from University of Phoenix stadium and tickets aren’t crazy priced. Castille is also on the team. Should be fun.

bbc is a horrible soure for info on south america
there are some serious problems with garcia’s administration but this account of the recent situation is just flat wrong. garcia is bending over backwards to avoid any hint of brutality for a very good reason. i suggest you give the account in The Economist a read. it was written by one of the best foreign journalists working in Peru and his understanding of these issues is usually spot on.

in which case, damn, it’s really hard to give an opinion on that, contrast those groups with the CONTRA’s and i know who’s side i’m on… but yeah in general, maoism is a crock just liek state communism is/was too. whenever i meet kids talking about the virtues of maoism i’m always quick to point out that that China is one of th ebiggest enemeies to the moasist insurgents in nepal… wonder why that is? cause at their all statist left wing ideologies boil down to preserving power for the elite. the same way all “free market” model offered by “capitalist” western countries have done the same. both sides are full of hipocrits. and neither ideology actually works as they were espoused to by their respective philosophical founders.

I think I know what you’re saying but be careful using the terms “free market” and “capitalism” as synonyms, they aren’t. You can still have a state-run economy and call it “capitalism.” You may be confusing the term with “corporatism” which is the merger of the state and private corporations. True free markets work, when they are left alone to work because they are based soley on the laws of human action, i.e. natural forces. Unfortunately, we’re too scared to try that because, as you alluded to, it would mean too many politicians and capitalists would give up their power.
As for Maoism, the CCP still claims it is still a part of their guiding ideology, it has just been put on the back burner.

it was benito mussolini who said
“fascism can best be described as the marriage between the corporation and the state.”
honestly speaking, Keyenesian spending on the post WW2 defense build up fits that description to a T (the cold war was nothing more than a drawn out economic stimulus plan). and while i’d like to believe “true free markets do work” i’ve never seen anyone point to a historical model where “true free markets” were ever put into place. but yeah, once any state socialist revolution has taken hold, it immdiatly turned into self preservation for the vanguard elite.
it’s all a crock of (les miles).

i think the half moon thing is no more.
the one on elliot has changed to a “peytons place” now, and it’s kinda allright, a little pricey but high quality sports bar… thing is, Tilted Kilt is only a mile away. nothing can compete w titled kilt. tilted kilt’s bloody mary bar on the weekends is also super bad ass (fresh tom juice, good vodka, 4 dollars, all kinds of fixins including pickled okra, thats right okra for your bloddy. no better way to drink at 10 am). they have a tilted kilt over by arrowhead IIRC and my pops lives there. so i guess what i’m sayin is, i’m down to meet up for a game, north texas game? week 3 will probably be a good one, tennessee will be getting destroyed by FLA around 1 or 2 AZ time on CBS and we’ll be destroying n texas round the same time i’d guess. anyway i’m totally down to meet up. my bro will be in town again starting in OCT so us Az bama fans can roll even deeper by the time the ol miss game comes around.

He's
really let his hair grow out. Maybe instead of the “Manny’s Locks” wigs the kiddos are wearing these days, they can wear “Rashad’s Locks” instead. So far Rshad is a better role model.
