CPF [Phil Fulmer] has made a career on two men: Mike Dubose and Mike Shula.
His 7-1 record vs. these 2 bafoons is the only thing he can hang his hat on, considering Meyer, SOS, and Richt, and Tubby all own him.
What do you expect him to do now, if Saban does indeed get on that plane today? I will go ahead and say what everyone is already thinking.
For the record, Bama under Saban will own UT for the next 4 or 5 years, along with the others mentioned, and will effectively end the career of CPF. If he retired today, his legacy would be 98 and owning Bama. 5 years from now, it will not be as pretty.
This is a post from a Tennessee message board on January 2nd, 2007 that has resurfaced and has been making the rounds lately. Who says there aren't a few smart UT fans?

that was pretty cool
i love how right away some of the other posters started saying there’s no way that prediction comes true. thats a precient post if ever there was one.

You can probably find a similar quote about Tuberville
made about the same time. Those guys owe a ton to the NCAA but given the fact they both engineered it (does anyone remember Tuberville’s claiming to the SEC that Freddy Milons was bought?) I suppose we have to give them credit for being better snakes than coaches.
Yeah, and that one made no damn sense...
… why would Tubby get pissed one way or the other? Had Milons not gone to ‘Bama, he’d just have stayed home in Starkville and played for MSU.
Even if true, why would he give two shits? We would have just been doing him a favor.
