According to published reports at PFT:

"The three-year contract that Arizona Cardinals third-round safety Rashad Johnson inked Thursday includes a signing bonus of roughly $490,000, according to Adam Caplan of Scout.com."

"Per the report, Johnson's deal has a total value of nearly $1.68 million. That would include base salaries of $310,000, $395,000 and $480,000."

Nearly 1.7 million... not bad for a former seventh string walk-on tailback, eh?

They're getting him dirt cheap

compared to what he has the potential to do. I hope he is a huge success.

Dirt cheap?

What world are you living in? I will gladly take 1.7 million dollars! Side note: I understand athletes get paid ridiculous amounts of money and by comparison 1.7 million is pretty cheap.

Let's just say we

won’t be seeing him on CRIBS any time soon.

I've seen episodes of CRIBS...

…with people that either make way less money than that or don’t spend it on their house.

Dirt cheap...

…but probably more than I will have earned by the time I die, so I’m comfortable with it.

So this is 1.7 mil

for 3 years? If so, that’s a little more than 500K per year. Man, they did get him cheap.
With his work ethic and his intelligence I expect him to be one of the best at his position in the next few years.

I'm gonna come at you like a spider monkey.
