I spoke to Corey for a few minutes at Prattville's 7on7 tournament on Tuesday. Corey and I have a pretty good relationship.

He told me he was really getting tired of the recruiting process and all the phone calls from people wondering when he will commit.

I believe the decision comes down to Alabama and Auburn.

I know he has visited Auburn several times in the last month. He has also visited Alabama.

I do not think the factor of him playing running back in college is going to influence him. He told me to my face that he would prefer to play in the slot and make plays from the position.

He did call me last week asking for one particular recruit's phone number. Which is keeping my mind open that Alabama is the leader.

We'll see though.

The previous quote comes from Andrew Bone over at TideSports, regarding speculation over Corey Grant. It certainly seems like it's becoming an in-state battle for his services, and that eliminates Florida, which was my main concern from the get-go. He is clearly interested in Auburn, and I wouldn't be shocked to see him end up there, but it's nice to see that Bone and quite a few others are nevertheless remaining optimistic about 'Bama's chances. We'll see, but I imagine we'll be hearing something from Mr. Grant in the near future.

yet another one.

Wow auburn gets all of the big name Runningbacks.
They got that Enrique Davis dude, and then they got Oku and Brown last year, This year they are #1 on the list for Seastrunk, Latimore Grant, and the whole nationwide top 10 Runningback class.
Seems everyone wants to play for the coach who has 5 big wins and an offensive line that couldnt block a toddler last season. I am gonna stay tuned. You know they almost got Rueban Randle and Julio Jones and Jerrell Harris and Dre Kirkpatrick and …….Yeppir everybody wants to play for Auburn.
