Who

wants to bet Cowherd mentions this?

i hope

those people are embarrassed on national TV. Running across a football field, while holding your baby screams “hey…Im a TERRIBLE parent”..

This

is going to sound super snoby, but I just hope Coach Saban realizes that “those people” aren’t the majority…

They

are, but I am still glad they aren’t the majority. Does that make me a bad person?

not necessarily...

…but being snobbish about the caliber of person who roots for your team is pretty much the classic sign of a notre dame fan.

by kleph on Aug 12, 2009 1:47 PM CDT up reply actions

ok

But if this had been UT…i think we’d all be making fun of it.

i'm not saying it's not mockable....

…but i’m also pointing out that these people represent the alabama fan base as much as any of us. and that’s something you just have to deal with if you root for the crimson tide. i’m not ashamed of my team or the people who back it. they certainly act in ways i find perplexing at times and i certainly wouldn’t do myself, but that’s part and parcel of the deal.

Am I the only one???

I kinda like it! When this kid gets older, it will have a picture of itself getting signed by one of the best coaches in football! I wish I had a pic getting signed by Bear Bryant when I was a baby! Am I crazy?

(Not saying Coach Saban is as loved or will be as successful as the Bear was but in time… Who knows!)

by BamaBoy777 on Aug 12, 2009 12:50 PM CDT reply actions

what he said...

I just won a t-shirt tearing contest against the Tennessee coaching staff

by Stuck in the Plains on Aug 12, 2009 1:34 PM CDT up reply actions

So....

you wouldn’t want a picture of you as a baby getting a garment signed by Saban or whatever coach was around when you were a baby? Perhaps Bear Bryant???

Honestly, I don’t see why it is such a BIG deal! IT IS A SIGNATURE!!! Not the mark of the Beast! Most of us do have a Coach Saban signature or a pic with him… What’s the difference?

by BamaBoy777 on Aug 12, 2009 2:54 PM CDT up reply actions

You'd think...

…Spencer would’ve done his homework.

Alabama’s already had its first female governor.

by Nico2.0 on Aug 12, 2009 12:59 PM CDT reply actions

ehh

this looks like a shop to me

he was injured. injured bad.

by troy145 on Aug 12, 2009 1:10 PM CDT reply actions

That's what I was thinking

The mom looks to be several feet away from Saban in front of someone else and Saban is obviously not turned to the right or leaning to the right at all.

by 2KTrans Am on Aug 12, 2009 1:32 PM CDT up reply actions

it's not.

it’s just the type of lens that was used that is making it look like that.

by jsholt969 on Aug 12, 2009 1:34 PM CDT up reply actions

looks like a fake to me too

after looking at the pics on the “Friends of the Program” website…….the baby in the pic that Saban is supposedly signing doesnt have khaki shorts on but in the two other pics you can see khaki shorts plainly on this baby………I think someone may have had some fun with Photo Shop!!

It looks like he's...

…only signing the baby’s garment, which I don’t view as a big deal at all. Tons of people have signed t-shirts, etc.

by Nico2.0 on Aug 12, 2009 1:24 PM CDT reply actions

I don't think

its the signing of the baby that makes this wrong in so many ways…at least from my view point. Its the running with the kid…its not like he’s holding a 2 year old. That kid might be just a few weeks old, if that.

After seeing the way maternity ward nurses handle newborns, I’m not so sure the running was all that big of a deal.

I think some folks just have various things shoved too deeply into various places to be any fun at all.

by PeteHoliday on Aug 12, 2009 2:09 PM CDT up reply actions

oh im having fun with it….

OHHHHH, I’m never gonna’ wash ’em again!

and you know what Saban said to his assistant...

The dad

has to be is Fulmer’s younger brother. Look at the dude he is a young version of PF.

The worst thing about this is that it just shows that some people who love Alabama also have no common sense—so what.

I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.

…not something specifically symptomatic to our fanbase.

IMO

this is nowhere near as bad as …Colette Connell.
