What will the Media do if.......

One has to wonder what will the media do if Tim Tebow doesn't perform up to expectations or if he happens to get injured and cannot play.  What will happen to the Florida Hype and the Teboweisman if Superman should run into Krptonite?  Oh by the way Mt. Cody has slimmed down and it will be interesting to see if he will try to run over him or Rolando McClain.  Roll Tide Roll. True SEC Power.

The problem with this

question is that (1) Tebow wil not get injured and (2) He will play as good or better than last year.

By the way, UF does not play Ole Miss this year although I wish they did. Their hardest game is LSU, that is it!! UGA does not have a QB. They have SC in Columbia which could be a trap game but SC does not have a QB. And Troy couldn’t take UF’s 3rd team. UT is no good, FSU is no good, Arky may be ok but it is in G-ville, UK don’t have it either. there is no one on their schedule unitl the SEC championship game…hope we can get there to give them a serious game.

I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.

I think the media

would probably report on it as their top story…..and that is if he gets injured. There is no way that he is just going to suddenly not perform.

I also think we would only lose 2-3 max without him. We’re going to depend on a stout defense this season, and without Tebow, we’d have to lean on them even more. They allowed less than 13 PPG last season and return 2 deep plus get back some injured players and a couple blue chip freshmen. The defense is what I am excited about.

Gator

you are too cautious…even without Tebow I don’t think anyone on their regualr season schedule could touch UF except maybe, and this is a big maybe, LSU and that is only at night with the officals leaning LSU’s way. If you don’t win the East this year it will be the biggest upset in College Football in years.

UGA is not going to be that good.

I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.

Brantley, Tebows backup, would start in most of the SEC. He is capable.

…with that being said…it is hard to run the gauntlet in the SEC….even with Tebow healthy.

i have read that brantley is no slouch

that said, tebow couldn’t win all 12 games last year either. and i do think Georgia is going to be better this year if only because they almost have to be healthier than they were last season. if georgia can get past OSU and south carolina, then a win over ASU will have them sitting undefeated and looking pretty come Cocktail Party time.

tennessee is going to suck and will be “providing the butt” to Florida this year.

welcome to the SEC kiffykins...

Always tough to run the table

Florida hasn’t completed the task in 102 years of football. I do think that this might be the best team on paper we’ve ever fielded and the schedule lines up nicely – so now we have to have some luck, such as lack of injuries, some key turnovers going our way, etc. Even the best teams need a couple breaks to win a championship – let alone go unblemished.

I am hopeful that Tebow and Spikes can keep the team focused each and every game so that nobody sneaks up on us like Ole Miss did last season (prime example – we fumbled the ball away over and over in that game).

As for Brantley – who knows?….he’s supposed to be a good one, but he is also a drop back style passer and likely ill-fitted to run the spread. He may end up looking like Chris Leak back there. The word out of practice is that they are going to run him in there early for some plays like they did Tebow as a freshman. They also have Hayden running a couple plays from a wildcat formation and claim to be runing less shotgun – but I’ll believe that when I see it on a Saturday!
