Tebow or McCoy?

Hey guys, I'm conducting a little study, and I was wondering if you guys would contribute your opinions. I was wondering, if your team was down 4 with 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter, in the championship game, who would you want under center, Tim Tebow or Colt McCoy? Keep in mind there is no "neither" option, so please stick to those two. I am just trying to see what people from different parts of the country think. Thanks a bunch.

I think Tebow is over hyped.

I think he is cocky with not an ounce of humility. I think his crying was ridiculous. I think he gets a pass from everyone including the refs. I want to beat him and I pull for everyone playing him to beat him. But, in the end he sure finds a way to get it done and I would not ever want to bet money against him.

I only hope this year somewhere a D-cordinator figures out how to stop him, and I hope we get one more shot at him.

I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.

needing to pass

i say McCoy. Tebow is such a prolific passer because hes a threat to run. when time disadvantages take that away, McCoy is a better pure passer and IMO he deserved the heisman last year.

he was injured. injured bad.

McCoy

Not as good as a leader, or as durable, but a better arm, better accuracy, and he WAS the team’s leading rusher to boot.

mccoy is a genuinely great leader too IMO

Tebows leadership style is effective for certain when things may look desperate and every body needs an adernaline shot to the arm. I wonder some times though how effective his screaming and yelling and, frankly, posturing would do in a late game situation where he knew, and the team knew, that his arm was going to make or break the game. Its in those situations Ive always felt the more collected, cool, personalized, almost smug leadership style shown by people like Croyle was much more effective. When you have to pump yourself up in front of everyone to convince yourself you can do something, people see right through it IMO.

I just see too many meltdowns on the ledger...

K-State twice; A&M twice. He has single-handedly lost a game, unlike his Tebow-ness. That said, I still think he’s a better QB

Another part of your question should be..

down late in the 4th and going against a GOOD defense…If its a Big 12 type defense ill go with McCoy…against the likes of the SEC..Tebow everyday..

McCoy's

numbers are inflated by the non-defenses of the Big 12. He’s nothing more than a solid qb with a good arm, like any number of others starting (or 2nd or 3rd string) around the country. Do you really think McCoy, Bradford, Reesing, Chase Daniel, Graham Harrell, Zac Robinson, and Robert Griffin all just happen to be coincidentally the best qbs in big 12 (or ncaa) history?? If you look at numbers alone, like so many do, then yes, you probably think this.

Pure Nonsense

wel

if you go back and watch the games I think its not that difficult to tell taht McCoy is a bit more than just a solid QB with a good arm. He has excellent mobility, toughness, ball placement, etc.

Is he one of the greats? No. But give the devil his due.

And, really,

none of the Big Three for the class of 2009 strike me as great pros.

5026/tebow

I love Bama but Tebow is the real deal, I think he is sincere and it wouldn’t hurt if more people had his attitude! I can understand what you mean about cocky, but if he was wearing crimson and white I would want him to be the same way. Only thing I have not seen out of him is giving the other team credit and that does bug me a little.

Who is the starting center?!?!?!

Lotsa talk about the DB’s and R tackle but I hear nothing about the starting center position. Since last years backup left for medical reasons who took his place? anybody got a clue?
