dude, this blog rocks for so many reasons
i have been really getting into gospel and gospel inspired music lately. it all started with bob dylan, and then the American Public Media show American Routes… now all i do, (besides work and chill on this site) is read about and look for more roots music…

but the best version of this song (there's about 30 + that i can find) was made while getting stoned in a hotel room
and was captured on film, and resurrected by Martin Scorsese about 40 years later for the film No Direction Home.
