Courtney Upshaw arrested

Courtney Upshaw arrested last night in Tuscaloosa. his mug shot. I was on my way to work this morning and some guy was on the opening drive was talking about Upshaw being at these apts last night that Courtney hangs out with friends and a lady friend. There was a argument and as he was leaving some guy smashed a beer bottle over his head. I don't know if this guy really knows anything but seemed to imply that Upshaw was trying to leave and after he was hit they tangled a bit and when the police got there they were both bloody so both got taken in. The charge however was domestic violence three (DVIII)  so I don't know what to make of this. I know that this worries me I think CNS has no choice but to suspend him for a while but hopefully the truth will come out that it was not his fault.

Anytime

you see where someone was hanging out at apartments late at night, that never means anything good.

CRAPOLA!

What was he looking like on the depth chart? Haven’t been able to keep up with that as much as I’d like to…

Not to say that if he wasn’t on the “Everyone’s Opinion Starting Lineup” that this becomes any less of a big deal, but was just curious as the the immediate effects on the field.

He

was a backup last year and played primarily on special teams. From all reports I don’t think he was set to knock off any of the incumbent starters.

He was...

…set to play another significant role on special teams, and prolly be on the two-deep at LB.

serves the man right

it sucks to have a player get arrested, duh. however, its pure stupidity on his part. I dont care if it was his fault or not, he never should have been in a place or situation that something like that could occur. players need to realize the responsibilities that they carry, and the image that they need to maintain. it REALLY is easily said as done…and i know it happens all the time, but why the hell do players drink during football season??? its not good for you, doesnt help you on the field, and eventually in a lot of cases can lead to stupid things happening like this. this kind of stuff really frustrates me because if anything following the laws of the land should be the easiest most natural thing for people…you grow up and live your whole lives following the same rules and laws, it should be second nature. if they spent as much time working on school work, resting, practicing on personal weaknesses, hitting the gym harder, visiting family…etc. then they would all be much better players and have a lot more self appreciation with their performances on and off the field. it gets on my nerves that sooo many dont truly appreciate the talent that they have been given, or the OPPORTUNITY they have been given. BLAH!!!!

It's not the will to win, but the will to prepare to win that makes the difference.
