Coffee having a mammoth game vs. The Raiders right now!
The badass running back just tore off a 40 yd. run on an end around on the 9-er left side. He's been tearing it up between the tackles, and just backed-up the 2nd string safety for the Raiders- both of them hitting each other head on with Coffee getting the better of the exchange by making the safety take 8 steps backwards.
It's the 2nd quarter and now that the OC for the 9-ers sees that the Raiders cannot handle Coffee- he has received the bulk of the carries and the 9-ers are now threatening to get on the board to even it up at 7. It's 2nd and goal to go. 3:23 before half.
Damn, Glen's looking good in this pre-season game. But. . . .we all knew he'd be good at the next level. The pro level is his level. Handing it off to Coffee, to throw to Crabtree? That should be against the law, in some states.

Coffee
showed up in 2008 ready to bust heads, no doubt about it. The guy was leaner, faster and hit holes like he was shot out of a cannon. It was like he was a different player.

Typical Raiders
They lost this one. Dumbasses, with 2:30 (something like that) to go, 9-ers punt from their 24 yard line. First punt, the P-returner makes a clean catch backing up to it about 6 yards- takes a few stutter steps bulls through one tackler gets hammered by the flying in the air other two. Just our luck, the 9-ers were offsides on the play. (Raiders can have it at their 35 IF they elect to). But, no. They make the 9-ers punt one more time. This time the returner fumbles it after making the catch and getting a measly 7 yard return.
FUMBLES IT.
End of game- 49-ers 21, Raiders 20.
Great game by Glen Coffee though. He just owned that game!

Did he play in the second half?
I heard they were going to put their # 1 guy (don’t know his name; don’t follow the NFL) in in the second half. I hope he was able to get some carries second half and wow ’em again. Did they report his final stats?

The last run they showed in this video was the deciding factor in me posting this fanshot. I couldn’t let this game by Coffee go unnoticed to my brothers here at RBR. What a freakin great pre-season game he had. His entire pre-season has been without a hitch. He’ll definitely be part of the game plan on Sundays for the 9-ers.
I say good luck to him and the 9-ers. As much as I dislike the team, I’m glad an organization like the San Francisco 49-ers got him. They are a decent organization that treats their players with respect and a high degree of loyalty. (something I can’t necessarily say about Al Davis and my beloved Raiders. But still. . . .)

Bix notion #1: An all night poker tourney for the fellas and sistas in the back, with a pony keg at the ready. Meanwhile, pilot and co-pilot drive around town- only stopping when we get to “relax point A” (some beachside destination somewhere) to go skinny dipping or cigar smoking- what have you? and then replenishing all the sundries and prolly tap a new pony keg for the ride back.
[that’s the only one so far. . . .but the options have been legion in my head. i can think of all kinds of fiendish things to do on that notion- both for the pilots AND the players. i’ll keep those to myself however. . . in the meanwhile, i’ve gotta get on to a #2 notion and when i do. . . .?]
