This was one of the
best games ever played by Alabama. Ever. For those that weren’t around yet think the 1st half of UGA last year and then carry that out over an entire game. That was the 1967 Sugar Bowl. Bama 34-7 over a good Nebraska team.
We finished 11-0, only gave up 44 pts. all season, and we were not voted #1. We got robbed by ND who had a tie and skipped the bowls. I’ve hated them ever since. (Similar thing happened to us when ND stole it in 77.)
I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.
