Andrew Bone comments on Jeff Luc

russelljonesjr: Do you feel like we have a great shot will L. Owens are is there not room? Is that why Beasley chose Clemson?

Andrew Bone: Owens is very high on Alabama. I know Alabama does not have many spots and selective with the remaining prospects. I expect only two linebacker slots are open. C.J. Mosley is likely a top priority for one of the slots. Jeff Luc is also in the mix.

jambama1: with luc loving the 3-4 system and we are the only team that runs it dos it help a lot?

Andrew Bone: Maybe some people are starting to catch on to me sayng Jeff Luc in these recruiting chats.

I've been thinking the Luc was a real long shot, but it sounds like Andrew Bone thinks we have a legit chance.

I know recruiting has slowed in recent weeks and we now have actual football news, but it's been a while since we've had a meat market post. Got any good info OTS? Even a list of quick hitters if that's all you've got would be nice.

Next week...

… I think I’m going to try to do a Meat Market piece next week. This week is going to absolutely be swamped with Virginia Tech stuff, and we’re going to have the most in-depth game preview we’ve ever had at RBR for it. Next week should be a bit slower, though, so I’ll try to squeeze it in there.

And as for Luc, obviously I’d love to get him, and perhaps our chances with him are higher than most think. Still, though, I imagine you have to keep thinking that he’s staying in-state, barring more conclusive evidence to the contrary. If we can get an official visit, though, anything can happen.

With Apologies To Randy Edsall, The Big East Remains Mostly Harmless

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J. His friends say it was a constant reminder of why he was at U Conn _ to provide his family with a better life than the one he had in Miami's Little Haiti. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File) link
