It'd be nice to see Coffee get in the 5-10 carry range. Maybe finish with 100-125 carries this season give or take. Basically it's more a question of how many carries will be needed to keep Gore fresh... Coffee won't be a home-run hitter for this team, but he'll definitely get a good dose of work.

I disagree...

I think he will be a home run hitter for this team and IMO I think he is a better back than Gore. I think he will eventually take the starting position from Gore…maybe not by the end of the year…but by next, he will be the man in SanFran…

i agree to some point

i think its about time we got a rb with top speed from dead stop with power, gore has his own style in between the tackles, were coffee has outside break away speed
i think this will be a nice combo rb,coffe run and gore will score
but gore will be the starter to many incentives for bonuses so i dont think coffee going get to many carrys
your not going to sit your million dollar back on the bench

That is all true, but...

Gore has always been injury plagued…if he even makes it through the entire year, it will be quite a feat for him. Also Gore is plagued by fumblitis…and it is wearing thin in San Fran…if he continues this year with that issue, I promise they will not hesitate to sit him if just to get his attention. And quite frankly, if you have ever watched Gore, he has some big play capability, but he is not the most consistent runner, he gets stopped at the line or on first contact alot where as Coffee does not. But as I said, this is all just my opinion…I could very well be wrong.

In other Bama in the NFL news

Brodie Croyle will be getting the start for KC against St Louis this Thursday and is the odds on favorite to start opening week vs Baltimore if Cassel can’t come back in.

I hate to say this

but if I was the 3rd stringer, I’d be warming up.

On second thought, does Brodie have any body parts left to injure?
