UGA's starting tackle out for season
According to the AJC (http://www.ajc.com/sports/uga/dogs-starting-tackle-out-132677.html) Trinton Sturdivant is out for the season - again. He suffered an injury to the same knee he blew out last year. Given the Dawgs' performance yesterday against Okie St, they can't afford to lose anybody. This is going to make the Dawgs' season, which was going to be "iffy" anyway, even worse. As usual, we all hope he recovers completely and soon.

That made me sick...
I hated seeing that. This will probably put his P/T off for another two years. Twice on the same knee is nothing to sneeze at.

Awful news...
… I posted about it on the RBR Twitter, and you really just hate to hear it. ACL reconstruction is so painful and difficult to overcome, and now to think that he’s going to have to do it all over again is really just disheartening. And the weird thing of it is, he didn’t get hit or anything, the knee itself just gave out. Making matters even worse is that he looks to be a fine player if he could ever just stay healthy. It’s not like he’s something average player out there or anything.
Anyway, this year is just shaping up really tough for UGA. Cox struggled against a bad defense, and this is a big injury. The UGA defense looked stout, but right now it’s going to be very tough to get this team north of 7-5. Again, I think they are a better team than that, but the schedule is just so tough. They already have one loss, and still games to go against South Carolina, @ Arkansas, Arizona State, LSU, @ Tennessee, Florida, Auburn, and @ Georgia Tech. They are going to have to go .500 against that slate just to get to 7-5.
To me, the schedule alone is going to dictate that this team probably has the worst record UGA has had since Richt arrived (since year one of his tenure, anyway). They really needed the win bad yesterday.

Totaly agree
UGA is in a tough place. Watch what happens if they have a losing season people will be calling for Richt’s job. He has had such highly rated classes every year the fan base is going to start to wonder why they are not winning. The fans have basically conceeded the Florida game before the season but they do not want to lose to Tech 2 years in row. And to think just a year ago they were preseason #1. It could really become ugly. I hope for his sake he can win SC, Arky, Ariz. St. and AU and end up 7-5.
SC & ASU are home games and should be wins even with a bad O. And we don’t really know if Auburn or UT are really any good.
I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.
Why they are not winning?
10-3
11-2
9-4
10-3
10-2
11-3
13-1
8-4
The above are Richt’s records in his 8 years at UGA. I’d say they are winning plenty.
Any UGA fan who calls for the coach’s head – even if they have a bad 2009 – with the above record AND losing your 2 best players as NFL first rounders, deserves a new coach.

You could tell this one was going to be bad...
just watching the replay. Knees just aren’t meant to bend sideways.
