Saban's Contract Approved
Low is right (for a change); this is a great deal for Saban. He doesn't address the other aspect of the equation though, what a win this is for the University and the fans. Typical.

This from
“The most valuable aspect of Saban’s extension is the formation of a $5 million ‘Contract Year Completion Benefit’ clause that will pay Saban a lump sum at three different times if he is still coaching the Crimson Tide. He would be due an additional $1.6 million in Jan. 2012, $1.7 million in Jan. 2015 and $1.7 million more in Jan. 2018.”
Oh and “ZOMG SABAN LIAR!! HE IS LEAVING BAMMER FOR NOTRE DAME DEAL WIT IT BAMMAERS !!!!111”

People really do need to get the F over it...
Everything in his career trajectory was up, up, up…then, he founds something he loved and came back to arguably one of the 3-4 most historic programs in the country. He’s got nothing left to prove, nothing left to aim upwards for, only the what he builds and what he leaves: that is his legacy now.
Too bad Low didn’t see that…or Estes.
You always forget that Nebraska is a state until they pop up in the news about some guy who has 25 kids buried in his backyard

I'll bet...
…that was the shortest Board of Trustees meeting in history-
“All who approve Coach Saban’s contract extension say aye”
“Aye”
“All opposed?”
(BLAM!)
“Meeting adjourned.”
