Sen. Orrin Hatch is urging President Barack Obama to invite Boise State University to the White House along with Bowl Championship Series winner Alabama, arguing both undefeated football teams deserve the honor.

The Utah Republican made the request in a letter to Obama Thursday.

In Thursday's letter, Hatch says inviting both teams will "send a clear message" that champions should be chosen on the field.

This is about the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard being brought about in a news story.  First, these politicians waste a ridiculous amount of time and resources over issues like this rather than finding resolutions to actual problems facing the country.  Second, again, play a tougher schedule (BSU's was ranked #87) and go undefeated against higher quality opponents, and you will get mentioned in the NC picture.
