Make that two bad draws.

He lost to Cody 5 too. Pretty amazing when your team is so stacked with players that a guy like Julio Jones gets beat out twice in less than a week on the highlight reel!

That sort of sums up his career at Bama

He is an awesome contributor to the team and there is no question that we are much better with him than without him but in terms of stardom he has been overshadowed by other guys on the team. A mix of play calling, injuries, poor qb play at times, and his own dropped passes have kept him from becoming a superstar. But his attitude through the whole thing has been nothing but A+. You can’t help but believe that he is going to break out into superstar status either next year or in the NFL.

Voted for Julio

Obviously I love that fact that Ingram won the Heisman, but I remember being at work and VERY nervous that were only up 7-0 at that point. Plus, I have a hard time voting for an off the field moment over an on the field one.

If it were a "best plays" vote, I'd agree.

But a Top Moments poll changes that for me. The Heisman represents all the “on field” moments that Ingram had, and in a way, that the team had. I have no trouble voting for it.

That said, I hate that Julio’s play got eliminated this quickly. That was one of the stand-out moments of the season for me.

I went for Julio...

It made me happier for two reasons…1) it was AWESOME to see Julio fly like that, and 2) Ingram’s acceptance speech made me cry.

I’m really proud of Ingram, but Julio made me jump for joy.

This was tough...

…Julio’s play happened right in front of us on my birthday and was the only game we made it to all season. Also, it was my wife’s 1st Bama game as a fan. Ingram’s speech and all was so heartfelt though. Even the hugs he gives the other finalists were seemingly very heartfelt. He didn’t give the typical guy hugs but gave each finalist a real hug. It’s hard not to vote for such a genuinely good guy winning the biggest individual award there is in college football for the 1st time in Bamas long storied tradition rich history. That, and I really believed him when he said that this was a team award and everyone involved with the program played a part in him winning it.

So is it Ingram wins the Heisman or Ingram’s acceptance speech? Cause I’d probably vote for winning the Heisman, but not so much for the speech.

Switch that...

…for me. I care not for the trophy, but the speech was awesomeness….

I went with Julio

Maybe it was colored by the fact that I was in the hospital with my father-in-law who was recovering from heart surgery but that definitely made the day better for everyone.

Plus, it was one of the few great moments Julio had all year. Pretty much our most exciting offensive play of the year.
