The Eugene Police Department confirmed this morning that its officers are investigating an alleged theft, and the student who filed the report has told The Oregonian that the men he accuses in it are University of Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli and wide receiver Garrett Embry. Fraternity member Max Wolfard filed a police report alleging that the players took two MacBook Pro computers - one valued at $2,000, the other at $1,500 - and a $900 guitar from the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house at 812 E. 14th Ave. in Eugene early Sunday. The Oregonian: Jeremiah Masoli, Garrett Embry are Oregon players named in police report, student says Talk about a news story that could really shake up the Pac 10 next year. Masoli is really what makes Oregon go, and I would imagine that if these charges turn out to be true, Chip Kelly will have no other option that to send him packing. Keep in mind this is not Masoli's first run-in with the law... he plead guilty to several other robberies in 2005 in the San Mateo area. With this now happening, combined with the arrival of Lane Kiffin at USC, I imagine the Pac 10 is now as open as it's been in a long time.
